An antenna includes a folding mechanism for configuring the antenna into at least one of a first configuration and a second configuration. When in the first configuration, the antenna is configured for operational use. When in the second configuration, the antenna is configured for shipping in a package. A locking apparatus secures the antenna in either configuration. The folding mechanism and the locking mechanism configure the antenna into the first configuration. A method for preparing for shipment an antenna having a reflector with a width, a height, and depth, a backing structure coupled to the reflector, a first swivel plate, coupled to the backing structure, a feed arm bracket coupled to the first swivel plate, and a feed arm coupled to the feed arm bracket. The first swivel plate facilitates yaw rotations of the feed arm bracket, relative to the backing structure.

Antenna packaging methods

Disclosed are devices, system, and method for mitigating wind damage to satellite antennas and for reducing the amount of ballast required to secure the satellite antennas. The device, system, and method include a mast on which an antenna may be affixed, a pivot gear capable of rotating between two or more positions, and a tension force or retention force on the pivot gear. A load force applied to the antenna creates a risk of damage proportional to the load force. The antenna system is capable of transitioning from a first orientation into a second orientation when the load force exceeds tension force or retention force, or the sum thereof, such that the antenna system experiences a reduced load force and therefore a reduced risk of damage. The device, system, and method also reduce the amount of ballast required to secure a non-penetrating antenna installation against tipping or sliding.

According to principles of the embodiments as disclosed herein, a device for monitoring the use of a handheld device is provided which allows for increased accuracy and ease of monitoring the use of handheld devices during usability testing. The device includes a handheld device mount configured to be releasably coupleable to a handheld device. The handheld device mount includes a cavity and a base and opposing first and second sides and first and second sidewalls extending from the base at the sides of the base. The mast has a first and second end. The first end of the mast is coupled to and extends from a third side of the cavity. A camera mount is located at the second end of the mast and configured to receive a camera.

Systems, methods, and devices for usability testing

Novel techniques are described for discharging high voltage components. For example, a tool is provided to discharge high-voltage capacitors in electrical appliances prior to servicing those appliances. The tool can include a handle structure electrically and physically isolated from a head structure by an elongated body. The elongated body can house at least a portion of a discharge circuit configured to discharge high-voltage components and to indicate (visually, audibly, etc.) whether voltage is present on components being discharged. The head structure can include multiple probes adapted to electrically couple the tool with the high-voltage components and through which to discharge the components.

Disclosed are antenna devices, system, and method for packaging and configuring an antenna system into a first configuration and a second configuration. The antenna system may include one or more swivel plates coupling components of the antenna such that they are configured for rotation about one or more axis. Locking apparatuses for each swivel plate may be provided for locking the antenna system into a desired configuration or state. The antenna system may be configured into a first configuration and/or a first state for use and into a second configuration and/or second state for shipping, packaging and storage.

A computing device fan mounting system includes a chassis, a fan housing, and a fan mount. The chassis includes a receiving opening. The fan housing defines a first opening and a second opening. The fan mount includes a first peg engaged with the first opening, a second peg engaged with the second opening, and a pin engaged with the receiving opening.

A system for coupling a satellite antenna to a mounting structure is provided. The system may include a mounting structure and a satellite antenna. The mounting structure may include a plurality of tabs extending upward, and located at a first elevation. The mounting structure may also define a first plurality of apertures located at a second elevation, where the first elevation is higher than the second elevation. The satellite antenna may define a second plurality of apertures configured to accept the plurality of tabs. The satellite antenna may be supported by the mounting structure upon the plurality of tabs being accepted by the second plurality of apertures. The satellite antenna may also define a third plurality of apertures which may be aligned with the first plurality of apertures upon the plurality of tabs being accepted by the second plurality of apertures.

Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for testing the response of electrical circuits to being flexed. Support members, preferably at least two, are positioned to receive the electrical circuits to be tested. The support members are spaced apart from each other to permit the electrical circuit to be flexed between the two support members. A plunger, having an arcuate front face is positioned between the support members. The plunger is depressed, flexing the electrical circuit a selected amount. After the circuit has been flexed a selected amount, the circuit is tested to determine whether or not it is fully operational after being flexed.

Systems for coupling a satellite antenna to a structure is provided. The system may include a first element, a second element, a third element, and a tightening mechanism. The first element may include at least one protrusion. The second element may also include at least one protrusion. The third element may be rotatably coupled with the first element. The third element may also be rotatably coupled with the second element. The third element may further be configured to couple with the satellite antenna. The tightening mechanism may be operable to rotate at least one of the first element or the second element with respect to the third element such that at least one protrusion of the first element and at least one protrusion of the second element engage with the structure located between the first element and the second element.

An antenna system includes technological improvements for achieving improved surface accuracy of an antenna reflector during manufacturing and assembly, as well as maintaining the surface accuracy in response to wear and tear on the reflector. The antenna system includes a reflector, a plurality of mounting tabs, and a backing structure. The reflector has a front reflecting curved surface, an outer rim, and a back surface. The plurality of mounting tabs are positioned and secured around the outer rim of the reflector. Each of the plurality of mounting tabs is independently flexible with respect to the outer rim. The backing structure has a central mount, a plurality of attachment arms, and a feed arm attachment. The plurality of attachment arms are secured to the outer rim of the reflector via the plurality of mounting tabs.

Non-RMS affecting mounting system for antenna systems

An antenna mast assembly with an alignment plumb is provided which allows for increased speed and accuracy in aligning antenna masts. The antenna mast assembly includes an antenna mast. An upper end of the mast extends in a first direction and a lower end of the mast extends in a second direction with an angle between the first and second directions. The bend in the mast creates the angle between the upper and lower ends. The upper end of the mast is connected to an antenna. The mast also includes an orientation indicator near its lower end and aligned with the first direction. The mast assembly also includes a foot configured to couple the lower end of the mast to a mounting surface and a plumb coupled to the foot. The plumb includes a plumb indicator that aligns with the mast orientation indicator and indicates that the upper end of the mast is orientated vertically.
