Bottle closure

A container includes a bottle, a closure, and a ring. The bottle includes a body, a neck extending away from the body and defining an opening, and a pair of opposed ledges. Threads extend around the neck. The ledges extend radially outwardly from the neck spaced from the body and the threads. Each ledge defines a surface facing away from the body and includes an extension extending from the surface. The closure is secured over around the neck. The closure is positioned on an opposite side of the surface of each ledge as compared to the body and includes internal ramps interfacing with the extensions to maintain the closure in place. The ring is positioned between the body and the ledges. The ring is entirely maintained below the surfaces of the ledges, and each ledge interacts with the ring to maintain the ring in place relative to the bottle.

Pharmacy bottle, system, and method

A pharmacy container comprises a bottle and a ring. The bottle includes a body defining a storage chamber, a neck extending away from the body and defining an opening opposite and providing access to the body, and a pair of opposed ledges each extending radially outwardly from the neck and spaced from the body. The neck includes threads extending around an outside surface of the neck, and the pair of opposed ledges are positioned between the body and the threads. The ring defines an interior wall, an exterior wall, and a pair of opposed indentations radially extending through the interior wall toward the exterior wall. The ring is positioned around the neck with the pair of opposed indentations positioned adjacent the pair of opposed ledges such that interaction between the pair of opposed indentations and the pair of opposed ledges maintains the ring in position relative to the bottle.

A dispensing insert is configured to friction fit within a neck of a bottle and to selectively receive an oral syringe. The dispensing insert includes a hollow cylinder, a top plate capping one end of the hollow cylinder, a raised deck extending substantially parallel to and spaced from the top plate, and an annular side wall extending from the top plate upwardly toward the raised deck. The raised deck has a smaller outer diameter than the top plate and defines an opening therethrough configured to provide access to contents of the pharmacy bottle through the dispensing insert. The annular sidewall substantially encompasses an outer perimeter of the raised deck.

Dispensing insert for a medicine containment and dispensing system and associated method

A label for a prescription pharmacy bottle includes a panel, a tab, and a flange. The panel defines a first side edge, a second side edge, and an aperture extending through the panel and positioned adjacent the second side edge. The tab extends from the first side edge away from the panel and rotates about the first side edge to selectively move between a first position, in which the tab substantially covers the panel, and a second position, in which the tab extends away from the panel. The flange is initially formed to extend from the second side edge away from the panel and defines a substantially planar surface coated with an adhesive. The flange is folded about the second side edge to extend behind the panel such that the adhesive on the flange extends across and is exposed through the aperture. Other labels, combinations, and methods are also disclosed.
