Systems and methods for automatically capturing visual data of a seed placed by a seed planting machine (e.g., a crop row planter). An electronic controller is configured to receive a signal indicative of a seed being dispensed by the seed planting machine and to trigger a camera to capture an image of the dispensed seed in response to a determination, based on the signal, that the seed has been dispensed by the seed planting machine. In some implementations, the system includes a seed sensor configured to detect a seed moving through a seed tube that dispensed seeds from the seed planting machine. In other implementations, the system is configured to detect a new seed being dispensed by the seed planting machine by analyzing image data captured by a camera.

System and method for visual confirmation of planter performance

A commodity tank for a product distribution machine has a hollow body enclosing an interior space with an upper fill opening through which product can flow into the interior space. For convenience of the operator, a lower fill opening is also provided though which product can flow into the interior space. The lower fill opening is located at a lower height relative to the upper fill opening. The provision of the lower fill opening enables the operator to choose between either bulk filling the tank using the cart conveyor through the upper opening or manually filling the tank through the lower opening.

A towed farm implement includes a set of auxiliary wheels mounted for elevating the implement to a height which permits the implement to be pulled over and lowered onto a transport trailer or which permits the trailer to be otherwise maneuvered to a loading position beneath the implement. Once the implement is loaded, a pivoted tongue of the implement is positioned so as to be used for the endwise transport of loaded implement. In one embodiment, the auxiliary wheels are mounted on their own lift arms for being swung vertically by an adjusting mechanism that is independent of that use to effect vertical adjustment of the ground wheels. In another embodiment, the wheel support arms of the ground wheels and the lift arms to which the auxiliary wheels are mounted are secured together for being swung by the same adjusting mechanism.

A mower-conditioner includes a conditioning device which is mounted for being selectively shifted transverse the direction of travel so as to be offset relative to the longitudinal centerline of the mowing device. Associated with the conditioning device is a crop guide device which may be selectively adjusted to cause a narrowed stream of conditioned crop to be deposited to opposite sides of a longitudinal centerline of the conditioning device.
