A node is disclosed. The node may have a core. The node may also have a projection extending from the core. Further the node may have a structural member attached to the projection. The node may also have a top cover having a top recess. The top recess may be configured to receive the structural member. Additionally, the node may have a bottom cover having a bottom recess. The bottom recess may be configured to receive the structural member. In addition the node may have a fastener to connect the top cover and the bottom cover.

Node for a space frame

A system of coating a component or part of a vehicle, device, or an apparatus with an abrasive resistant material (ARM) in order to increase the component or part's life cycle. A welding system can be used to deposit ARM between a lead electrode and a trail electrode and also deposit ARM behind the trail electrode. The welding system can also be used to deposit ARM that includes a lead electrode depositing the steel material and a trailing electrode that delivers an alloying material.

Abrasion resistant material tandem welding

A system for tracking a mobile resource in a manufacturing site is described. The system includes a transmitter mounted on the mobile resource to transmit a first signal indicative of a location of the mobile resource at the manufacturing site. The system also includes a transceiver disposed at the manufacturing site to receive the first signal via a wireless network and transmit a second signal indicative of a location of the mobile resource and a duration for which the mobile resource is located at the manufacturing site. The system also includes a controller to communicate with the transceiver and a database. The controller is configured to receive the second signal, identify the location of the mobile resource based on the second signal and information in a database, determine location of the mobile resource with respect to a fixed resource, and determine operational characteristics of the mobile resource.

Tracking mobile resource at manufacturing site

A lift arm assembly includes a first arm casting including a first end, a second arm casting including a first end, and a tubular cross member attached to the first arm casting and the second arm casting. The lift arm assembly also includes a first arm tubular member including a first end attached to the first end of the first arm casting. The lift arm assembly further includes a second arm tubular member including a first end attached to the first end of the second arm casting such that the second arm tubular member is generally parallel to the first arm tubular member. At least one of the tubular cross member, the first arm tubular member, or the second arm tubular member has a continuous periphery, a maximum of one seam, and a substantially constant cross-section along substantially an entire length of the respective member.

Lift arm assembly

A welding torch includes a nozzle with a first welding wire guide configured to orient a first welding wire in a first welding wire orientation, and a second welding wire guide configured to orient a second welding wire in a second welding wire orientation that is non-coplanar and divergent with respect to the first welding wire orientation. A method of welding includes moving a welding torch with respect to a workpiece joint to be welded. During moving the welding torch, a first welding wire is fed through a first welding wire guide defining a first welding wire orientation and a second welding wire is fed through a second welding wire guide defining a second welding wire orientation that is divergent and non-coplanar with respect to the first welding wire orientation.
