The filter element comprises a filter media pack comprising a plurality of filter media layers stacked on top of each other to form the filter media pack. The filter media pack has an inlet surface being at an inlet portion of the filter media pack, and an outlet surface being at an outlet portion of the filter media pack. An outlet flange is coupled to the outlet portion of the filter media pack.

A method of manufacturing a media assembly comprises winding a filter media about a center axis into a media roll and cutting the media roll along at least two cut lines and into at least two media packs of at least two media assemblies. The media roll is cut along at least one plane that is parallel to the center axis.

A filter assembly includes a housing, a cover, and a filter element. The housing defines a pocket. The cover includes a bayonet sized to be received within the pocket. At least one of the base or the cover defines a cavity and a protrusion extending into the cavity. The filter element is disposed within the cavity. The filter element includes a plurality of media blocks each including a pleated filter media. The plurality of media blocks are arranged in arch shapes of approximately equal inner radii. The plurality of media blocks are coupled to each other along opposing edges that extend along a pleat direction of the pleated filter media. The media blocks together define at least one void that extends along the protrusion. The protrusion occupies a portion of the void.

An air cleaner system including a housing having a first housing end with an opening, a second housing end, and an inlet proximate the second housing end. The housing defines a central compartment therein. The housing comprises a first alignment portion disposed on the first housing end. The filter element comprises filter media and a second alignment portion disposed on the first filter end. The second alignment portion is complementary to the first alignment portion. The installation of the filter element within the housing causes the first alignment surface and the second alignment surface to align to provide for engagement of a radial seal between the filter element and the housing.

An air cleaner assembly includes a filter housing extending axially along a longitudinal axis and a cover. The filter housing includes at least one sidewall (e.g., an annular sidewall) extending between a first housing end and a second housing end and a retainer formed proximate at least one of the first housing end and the second housing end. The cover is removably coupled to at least one of the first housing end and the second housing. The cover includes a handle assembly having a latch configured to releasably engage the retainer at the fiber housing. The filter element includes filter media and is axially insertable into the filter housing when the cover is removed from the filter housing.

According to a set of embodiments, the filtration system comprises a housing that defines a central compartment therein. The filtration system further comprises a filter cartridge positioned within the central compartment of the housing. The filter cartridge comprises a filter media and an identification element. The filtration system further comprises a sensor. The sensor is structured to sense the identification element of the filter cartridge. The filtration system further comprises a filter blocking mechanism communicably coupled to the sensor. The filter blocking mechanism is structured prevent installation of the filter cartridge into the housing unless filter cartridge information of the identification element sensed by the sensor is identified as corresponding to an authorized filter cartridge.

Interlock for genuine filter recognition

A filter assembly includes a support fame, a filter media, and a conditioning device. The filter media is coupled to the support frame. The filter media has a dirty side that receives an air stream and a clean side that outputs the air stream after having been filtered by the filter media. The conditioning device is coupled to the support frame. The conditioning device is positioned downstream of the clean side of the filter media with respect to the air stream and directly contacts the clean side of the filter media.

Filtration systems having a tangential air cleaner having a coiled media filter element and a cyclonic pre-cleaner are described. An outer wall of the filter element acts as a pre-cleaner sleeve of the housing to generate a cyclonic flow of the intake air prior to the intake air being filtered by the filter element. The housing cover includes geometry that redirects the cyclonic low from a tangential path to an axial, straight-through flow directed through an inlet flow face of the filter element. Various embodiments of such filtration systems offer increased filter performance and capacity compared to similarly sized cylindrical pleated filter elements having a radial flow filtering path.
