A damper comprises a pressure tube extending longitudinally between a first pressure tube end and a second pressure tube end, a piston arranged in sliding engagement inside the pressure tube, a piston rod coupled to the piston, a hydraulic rebound stop positioned in a first working chamber and including a sealing ring circumferentially extending around the piston rod and within the pressure tube. The sealing ring at least partially defining a high-pressure region within the pressure tube during a rebound stroke the damper further comprising a pressure relief valve in fluid communication with the high-pressure region. The pressure relief valve being operable to allow pressurized fluid from the high-pressure region to pass therethrough once a predefined pressure threshold has been reached.

A shock absorber includes: a pressure tube defining a working chamber; a piston assembly slidably disposed within the pressure tube, the piston assembly dividing the working chamber into a first and second chambers; a piston rod including a first end that is attached to the piston assembly and that includes a second end that is configured to be attached to one of a sprung mass and an unsprung mass of a vehicle; an electronic valve that is positioned within the piston rod, the electronic valve including a spool moveable between first and second positions, where: when the spool of the electronic valve is in the first position, the spool allows fluid flow between the first and second chambers through the electronic valve and the piston rod; and when the spool of the electronic valve is in the second position, the spool restricts fluid flow between the first and second chambers.

A shock absorber includes a pressure tube forming a working chamber. A reserve tube is concentric with and radially outward from the pressure tube. A baffle tube is positioned radially outward from the pressure tube. A reservoir chamber is formed between the reserve tube and the baffle tube. A piston is attached to a piston rod and slidably disposed within the pressure tube. A rod guide is attached to the pressure tube and supports the piston rod. An electromechanical valve is positioned within the rod guide. A plurality of longitudinal passageways are defined by the baffle tube and at least one of the pressure tube and the reserve tube for transporting fluid between the electromechanical valve and the reservoir chamber.

A damper includes a pressure tube and a piston. The piston defines a rebound chamber and a compression chamber. The damper further includes a piston rod that reciprocates with the piston. The damper includes a sealing ring slidably disposed around the piston rod. The sealing ring includes a locking mechanism adapted to lock the sealing ring around the piston rod. The sealing ring also includes an inner surface having a plurality of concave surfaces and a plurality of convex surfaces. Each of the plurality of concave surfaces is located adjacent to a corresponding convex surface of the plurality of convex surfaces. The sealing ring further includes an upper surface extending between the outer and inner surfaces. The upper surface defines a plurality of channels. The sealing ring further includes grooves and bleeds for tuning energy dissipated by the damper during rebound stroke to help reduction of noise.

A shock absorber with a pressure tube, a reserve tube, and a piston slidably disposed within the pressure tube to define first and second working chambers. A reservoir chamber is positioned between the pressure tube and the reserve tube. A damper baffle tube, positioned in the reservoir chamber, defines a baffle tube chamber between the pressure tube and the damper baffle tube. One or more electromechanical valves are positioned in fluid communication with the first working chamber and the baffle tube chamber. The damper baffle tube includes a compliant portion that has a sealing surface configured to move into and out of contact with the pressure tube in response to fluctuations in fluid pressure in the baffle tube chamber so as to form a check valve that holds a constrained volume of hydraulic fluid in the baffle tube chamber.

A shock absorber includes a pressure tube forming a working chamber. A reserve tube is concentric with and radially outward from the pressure tube. A baffle is positioned radially outward from the pressure tube. A reservoir chamber is formed between the reserve tube and the baffle. A piston is attached to a piston rod and slidably disposed within the pressure tube. A rod guide is attached to the pressure tube and supports the piston rod. An electromechanical valve is positioned within the rod guide. A plurality of non-linear passageways are disposed between the baffle and at least one of the pressure tube and the reserve tube for transporting fluid between the electromechanical valve and the reservoir chamber.

An electrically adjustable hydraulic shock absorber includes a piston positioned within a tube that divides a fluid chamber into a first working chamber and a second working chamber. A piston rod is attached to the piston and projects. An electronically-controlled valve is positioned within a rod guide. A circuit board is in communication with the electronically-controlled valve. A carrier includes an inner wall and an outer wall interconnected by a bottom wall thereby defining a pocket. A circuit board is positioned within the pocket.

An electrically adjustable hydraulic shock absorber includes a tube defining a fluid chamber and a piston assembly positioned within the tube. The piston assembly divides the fluid chamber into a first working chamber and a second working chamber. A piston rod is attached to the piston assembly and projects out of the tube. Further, a rod guide guides the piston rod and an electronically-controlled valve is positioned within the rod guide for controlling a damping state of the shock absorber. A circuit board is positioned around the piston rod for actuating the electronically-controlled valve. A carrier housing receives the circuit board and engages with the rod guide. The carrier housing includes an inner column and an outer column. A bumper cap is mounted on the carrier housing and is engaged with the inner and outer columns.

An injector for injecting a reagent into an exhaust stream includes an outer tube extending through an electromagnet and surrounding an inner tube. A first end of the inner tube is sealingly fixed to an inner surface of the outer tube. A guide member and an orifice plate are each sealingly fixed to the inner surface of the outer tube. A second end of the inner tube is aligned by the guide member. A moveable valve member includes a pintle head guided by the inner surface of the outer tube to align the valve member with an orifice extending through the orifice plate.

A shock absorber includes a pressure tube forming a working chamber. A reserve tube is concentric with and radially outward from the pressure tube. A baffle tube is positioned radially outward from the pressure tube. A reservoir chamber is formed between the reserve tube and the baffle tube. An electromechanical valve is positioned within the rod guide. The baffle tube and the pressure tube form a fluid passage between the electromechanical valve and the reservoir chamber.

The present disclosure relates to a damper system for a vehicle. The damper system may have an electrically adjustable hydraulic shock absorber including a rod guide assembly, a pressure tube, a reserve tube and an electromechanical valve. The electromechanical valve may be disposed in a valve cavity within the shock absorber. An integrated electronic system may be included which has a power drive electronics. The power drive electronics is electrically coupled to the electromechanical valve. The integrated electronic system is disposed along an axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the pressure tube, and at a location radially outwardly of the pressure tube adjacent the rod guide assembly.

The present disclosure relates to a shock absorber having a pressure tube forming a pressure chamber. A piston rod is disposed within the pressure chamber. A reserve tube defines a reserve chamber adjacent the pressure tube. A rod guide assembly is concentrically disposed about the piston rod and the pressure chamber and houses a plurality of digital valves. Each one of the digital valves includes a component which is moveable between an open state and a closed state, and thus helps to control a fluid flow between the pressure chamber and the reserve chamber. An electronic control system is disposed on a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and controls actuation of the digital valves. At least one additional valve is associated with one of the digital valves for further controlling a flow of fluid between the pressure chamber and the reserve chamber.

A shock absorber has a housing with a piston rod assembly disposed therein. A first rod guide member is secured within a first portion of the housing so as to be concentrically disposed about at least a portion of the piston rod assembly. A second rod guide member is secured within the housing adjacent the first rod guide member so as to be concentrically disposed about at least another portion of the piston rod assembly. A digital valve assembly is disposed within the second rod guide member and fluidly couples chambers within the shock absorber.

A shock absorber is disclosed having a pressure tube forming a working chamber, and a piston assembly slidably disposed within the pressure tube. The piston assembly may divide the working chamber into upper and lower working chambers. The piston assembly may have a piston body defining a first fluid passage extending therethrough and a first valve assembly controlling fluid flow through the first fluid passage. A second fluid passage, separate from the first fluid passage, extends from one of the upper and lower working chambers to a fluid chamber defined at least in part by the pressure tube. A plurality of digital valve assemblies are included and configured to exclusively control all fluid flow through the second fluid passage, and thus all fluid flow between the one of the upper and lower working chambers to the fluid chamber.
