A garment is provided prepared from a smart fabric, wherein the smart fabric contains:

Conductive yarn/sewing thread capable of data/signal transmission having reduced or eliminated crosstalk, coupled with one or more devices for satellite positioning and accelerometer measurements in a smart fabric, and garment made therefrom

A flame retardant composition containing a phosphorous containing ammonium salt, a crosslinker, and water is provided, and its application to yarn or fabric to provide a flame retardant yarn or fabric. In a preferred embodiment, the yarn or fabric is made from a polyurethane elastomer, such as a spandex. A method to prepare the flame retardant composition and apply it to the fiber or yarn is also provided.

A glove made from a reinforced multilayer material can prevent cuts and/or abrasions. The glove can include and exterior layer and at least one interior layer, the interior layer consisting of an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene filaments. While the interior layer can entirely cover a hand of a wearer of the glove, the exterior layer does not cover the index finger of the wearer, such that the wearer's dexterity, precision, and sensitivity in their index finger are improved.

A knit fabric is provided having a fabric weight of no more than 20 OPSY (ounces per square yard) prepared from a combination of yarns of a fire-resistant rayon yarn, and an aramid yarn; wherein the knit fabric provides a V50 value of at least 600 fps, measured in accordance with MIL-STD-3207, and particularly provides flame resistance properties, antimicrobial properties, high air permeability, and high water vapor transmission, and a garment formed therefrom.

A stab resistant knit fabric, made containing a plurality of panels of a knit fabric having a modified knit structure corresponding to rows of knit stitches, wherein each of the panels of knit fabric comprise a front layer of knit fabric and a back layer of knit fabric, wherein the front layer and back layer are joined together by rows of tuck stitches formed from a yarn having no more than 4.5% elongation; wherein at least one panel of knit fabric is arranged such that the rows of knit stitches of the at least one panel of knit fabric are perpendicular to the rows of at least one other panel of knit fabric, its combination with a ballistic layer to provide ballistic resistance properties, and a protective garment prepared therefrom.
