Embodiments of negative pressure wound therapy systems, apparatuses, and methods for operating the systems and apparatuses are disclosed. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a negative pressure source, a connector port, at least one switch, and a controller. The negative pressure source is connected through the connector port to either (i) a wound dressing having a canister configured to store fluid aspirated from the wound or (ii) a wound dressing without a canister between the connector port and the wound dressing. The controller determines, based on a signal received from the at least one switch, whether the canister is positioned in the fluid flow path and adjusts one or more operational parameters of negative pressure wound therapy based on the determination. The switch is activated by the connection of either the canister or canisterless wound dressing to the apparatus.

Negative pressure wound therapy apparatuses and methods for using the same

An injection device comprising a housing () and a dose selector () to set a dose of medicament to be ejected from the injection device. A spring () coupled to the dose selector stores energy necessary for ejecting the dose from the injection device. A ratchet () arrangement is provided to rotationally couple a ratchet component and an internal surface of the housing in a coupled state and to allow relative rotation between the ratchet component and the internal surface of the housing in an uncoupled state. An over-torque feature () located between the dose selector and the spring is actuatable, when the rotation of the dose selector causes the charging force to exceed a defined limit, to reduce the charging force transferred from the dose selector to the spring. Both the ratchet component and the over-torque feature are provided on a single component ().

Dose setting mechanism

An injection device comprising a housing having a longitudinal axis, a dose selector () capable of being rotated about said longitudinal axis with respect to said housing by a user to set a dose of medicament to be ejected from the injection device and a spring () capable of storing energy necessary for ejecting the dose of medicament from the injection device. The spring is coupled to the dose selector such that a charging force can be transferred from the dose selector to the spring to increase the energy stored by the spring. The injection device further comprises a ratchet arrangement () moveable between an engaged state in which the spring is limited from unwinding from a currently selected dose and a disengaged state in which the spring is able to unwind and a drive assembly including a plunger element () capable of providing an axial force for ejecting a dose of medicament from the injection device. The drive assembly further comprises a drive clutch () moveable from a disengaged state in which a force path from the spring to the plunger element is interrupted and an engaged state in which the drive assembly can provide the axial force for ejecting a dose of medicament from the injection device via said force path.

Pump and canister assembly for negative pressure wound therapy

A tinting machine () comprising one or more dispenser heads for dispensing colorant into a paint container (), the one or more dispenser heads comprising a fluid outlet () for discharging the colorant into the paint container (), an internal chamber () opening in the fluid outlet, and a piston () that is longitudinally and movably arranged inside the internal chamber. An outer side surface of the piston and the inner surface of the internal chamber define an annular space () and the piston comprises a circumventional protrusion () defining a constriction () in the annular space. By supplying cleaning fluid to the internal chamber and moving the piston between a first and a second position, the internal chamber can be cleaned from residual colorant with a small amount of cleaning fluid. The invention further relates to a method for dispensing one or more colorants into a paint container using such tinting machine.
