A roof for a cab of a machine includes a roof surface with a rearward incline having a front portion higher than a rear portion. The roof surface has a recessed portion at the rear portion that receives a Heating Ventilation and Cooling (HVAC) unit. The recessed portion includes a rearward facing sidewall with a rearward incline, such that an upper end of the rearward facing sidewall is closer to the front portion than a lower end. The rearward facing sidewall has a lateral opening, a pair of lateral sidewalls, and a base with a rearward incline, such that a front end of the base is higher than a rear end. The base has an upright opening with a ridge protruding upward, defining a perimeter of the upright opening. The rearward facing sidewall, the pair of lateral sidewalls, and the base, define a contiguous peripheral portion of the recessed portion.

HVAC integrated roof for operator cabs

A cabin is disclosed for use with a mobile machine. The cabin may have a floor and a roof. The cabin may also have at least one A-post located at a leading end relative to a forward travel direction of the mobile machine, and a C-post located at a trailing end opposite the at least one A-post. The C-post may have two terminal ends located at the floor, and a single terminal end located at the roof.

Machine cabin having improved operator visibility

A door system includes a window and a door frame. The door frame includes a first panel and a second panel. The first panel includes a first outer portion and a second outer portion. The first outer portion has a first outer leg, an intermediate portion, and a second outer leg that together define a cavity. The second panel has a first inner portion, a lip portion and a second inner portion. The first inner portion is joined to the second outer portion of the first panel. The second inner portion has a first inner leg and a second inner leg that together define a seal channel wall extending within the cavity. The lip portion includes an offset portion extending in a direction opposite to that of the seal channel wall.

Door system for a machine

The cab for a mobile machine includes a seat for an operator, and a rollover protective structure (ROPS). The ROPS being positioned on either side of a first vertical plane centrally located on the seat and extending along a length of the cab. The ROPS may include a C-post positioned behind the seat, and a B-post positioned in front of the seat. The C-post may include a first portion extending upwards and angled towards the seat. The first portion may extend from a first end proximate a bottom rear corner of the cab to a second end proximate the first vertical axis. The ROPS may also include a second portion extending upwards from the second end to a third end proximate a roof of the cab. The ROPS may further include a third portion extending in a direction away from the seat from the third end to a fourth end proximate a top rear corner of the cab.

A door and method for assembling such door for a vehicle are disclosed. The door may comprise a window having a visual surface area and a frame. The frame may include an outer panel surrounding the window and defining a cavity having a draw depth and a mouth, and an inner panel having a first end and a second end. The inner panel may be joined to the outer panel at an inner coupling disposed at the first end and joined to the outer panel at an outer coupling disposed at the second end of the inner panel. The inner panel may substantially cover the mouth of the cavity. The door may have a door area. The visual surface area of the window may be in the range of about 65 percent to 95 percent of the door area.

Door structure

A latch load distribution system and method for assembling such for a vehicle are disclosed. The latch load distribution system may comprise a window, a door, a latch bracket and a door handle. The door may include a window and a door frame surrounding the window. The door frame may include an inner panel and an outer panel joined to the inner panel. The outer panel may define a cavity having an inner sidewall and a mouth with a mount width. The latch bracket may have a latch bracket length, and may include a primary end, a body and a secondary end. The primary end may be disposed in the cavity and may be coupled to the outer panel. The door handle may be coupled to the door frame and the latch bracket.

Latch load distribution system

A cab of a mobile machine may include a seat for an operator. The cab may also include a first vertical plane centrally located on the seat and extending along a length of the cab. The cab may further include a rollover protective structure (ROPS). The ROPS may include a first component and a second component positioned on either side of the first vertical plane. At least one of the first component and the second component may include a single tube shaped to form a C-post positioned behind the seat, a B-post positioned in front of the seat, and a header connecting the C-post and the B-post. The C-post and the B-post may each include support structures that extend from a floor of the cab to a roof of the cab. The header may extend along a length of the cab.
