The disclosed technology relates to low-profile humidifiers for humidifying breathing gases from a medical ventilator. In an example, the low-profile humidifier includes a humidifier body that includes a liquid port; a pump in fluid communication with the liquid port; a valve in fluid communication with the pump; a nozzle in fluid communication with the valve; a controller that controls the valve and the pump. The low-profile humidifier also includes a removable flow channel that is removable from the humidifier body. The removable flow channel includes a gas inlet sized for connection to a conduit from a medical ventilator; a gas outlet; a conduit between the gas inlet and the gas outlet; a heated surface within the conduit to vaporize liquid droplets injected by the nozzle; and a through hole to receive the nozzle into the conduit.

Low-profile humidifier with removable flow channel

A humidifier, for a ventilation system, that includes an atomizer configured to deliver water droplets into a flow of breathing gases and a heating element configured to vaporize the water droplets emitted from the atomizer. The humidifier may be configured to set a target inhalation gas temperature based on internal temperature of a patient. Further, based on inspiratory flow and humidity data about breathing gases upstream of the atomizer of the humidifier, the humidifier may calculate and deliver an amount of water in one or more bursts of atomized water. Based on the target inhalation gas temperature, the humidifier may control a temperature of the heating element.

A steerable endoscope is provided that includes a tubular body with a plurality of wires that, when deflected in a non-axial direction, cause a distal end of the endoscope to change orientation. A controller for the endoscope generates instructions to cause the deflection of one or more of the plurality of wires according to a steering input.

A tracheal tube include a conformable conduit that forms a respiratory passage to transfer respiratory gases to a patient. A helical inflatable lumen is formed in or on an interior surface of the conformable conduit. Fluid transferred into the helical inflatable lumen causes the inflatable lumen to assume an expanded configuration to expand an outer diameter of the conformable conduit relative to an unexpanded configuration of the helical inflatable lumen. When in the expanded configuration and inserted in a patient, conformable walls of the conformable conduit expand outwards to contact the tracheal walls such that the conformable conduit is self-sizing to a patient's trachea size.

The technology relates to methods and systems for recognition of conditions from ventilation data. The methods may include acquiring ventilation data for ventilation of a patient during a time period; generating an image based on the acquired ventilation data; providing, as input into a trained machine learning model, the generated image, wherein the trained machine learning model was trained based on images having a same type as the generated image; and based on output from the trained machine learning model, generating a predicted condition of the patient. The image may be generated by storing ventilatory data as pixel channel values to generate a human-indecipherable image.

A system for digitally modelling analog devices having a processor executing an executable code to select a baseline calibration signal, receive a digitized audio from an analog device having parameters with incremental controls for the parameters, wherein the digitized audio is the baseline calibration signal processed with the incremental control of the first parameter set at a neutral setting, determine a baseline impulse response of the analog device, select an incremental signal, receive a plurality of incremental audios, wherein each incremental audio corresponds to the incremental signal processed by the analog device with a unique setting of the incremental control for the first parameter, derive formant-based filters for each of the incremental audios, and construct a digital model of the analog device based on the baseline impulse response of the analog device and the plurality of formant-based filter representations of the plurality of incremental audios.

Devices, systems, and methods useful to engage tissue using suction and to perform medical procedures during suctional engagement

A method of treatment for a body vessel is provided. The body vessel includes a dissection flap formed from a wall of the body vessel, which longitudinally separates a natural body vessel lumen into a true lumen and a false lumen. One or more cuts are formed in the dissection flap with a cutting device or system. An expandable device is inserted within the true lumen, and expanded to reappose the dissection flap against the wall of the body vessel where the dissection flap was detached from the wall such that the false lumen is closed. A variety of cut patterns are disclosed.
