Techniques are described for providing a software-based platform used to collect and analyze data artifacts generated during software development processes and to display results of the analyses as actionable information. The software development observability platform is a software-based agent (also referred to as an 'artifact collector') capable of capturing output from a wide variety of software development tools including compilers, test frameworks, code coverage and type checker tools, and the like. The artifact collector stores the data in an event data format and forwards the data to a data intake and query system or other destination for further analysis. In some examples, the software development observability platform further includes graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and other analysis tools that enable users to obtain insights into their software development processes.

Described herein are techniques are provided for enabling a security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) service to automatically manage apps used to interface with an integrated security operations service and other related devices and services. Further described herein is a SOAR app generator service or application used to automate the creation of apps for a SOAR service based on application programming interfaces (API) specifications for related devices or services, as well as visual playbook editor interfaces for a SOAR service that enable the configuration of complex action input parameters including arrays and objects.

Techniques are described for enabling users of an information technology (IT) and security operations application to create highly reusable custom functions for playbooks. The creation and execution of playbooks using an IT and security operations application generally enables users to automate operations related to an IT environment responsive to the identification of various types of incidents or other triggering conditions. Users can create playbooks to automate operations such as, for example, modifying firewall settings, quarantining devices, restarting servers, etc., to improve users' ability to efficiently respond to various types of incidents operational issues that arise from time to time in IT environments.

A system for the rapid development of vaccines or anti-bacterial drugs is required when working with pandemics. A playbook execution architecture used to efficiently execute playbooks by distributing the execution of playbook function blocks to multiple independent 'worker' sub-processes is described. Each worker process hosts an independent execution environment used to execute playbook function blocks independently from other worker processes, where each worker process can host an execution environment that is the same as or different from execution environments hosted by other work processes, enabling the playbook execution engine to support function blocks written in multiple different programming language versions or programming languages entirely. The described playbook execution architecture enables an IT and security operations application to vertically scale the computing resources used to execute playbooks, provides users with more control over an amount of computing resources devoted to the execution of playbooks, and enables more expressiveness in the types of actions and efficiency of playbooks by providing support for multiple programming languages and programming language versions.

Modifying existing commercial jet engine technology to leverage the temperature and pressure available in the combustion of kerosene A-1 jet fuel (or other fuels) to include the Haber process (or other industrial processes requiring high temperatures and high pressures) presents possibilities for the creation of ammonia and other down-stream compounds suitable for atmospheric seeding of reflective or absorptive compounds. Compounds such as ammonia and urea (or other compounds&#x2014;as time goes on) provide alternatives to high-altitude (20 km) seeding of sulfur dioxide (which is destructive to atmosphere, vegetation, and ozone alike). Additionally, the changes required to existing engine technology analogous to adding a catalytic converter to the exhaust system of a car, provide, through the leveraging of the strong chemical bond of atmospheric nitrogen (N2), additional overall energy output to the engine system (through heat) and the production of a potentially combustible liquid or gas (ammonia and down-stream ammonia compounds or other compounds) which could be used as a downstream fuel source by the engine itself.

Methods and systems for managing virtual working pages are disclosed. One method includes storing a first set of parameters in a working page within the tested system, where the first set of parameters is used for calibration of the tested system. The method also includes storing a second set of parameters in a virtual working page within an observation system having a plurality of virtual working pages. The method further includes transferring the second set of parameters from the observation system to the tested system. The method also includes storing one or more parameters of the second set of parameters in the working page. A related user interface is also disclosed.

The invented technique permits the gate length to equal the channel length: source/drain regions are self-aligned and non-overlapping with respect to their gate electrode. The non-overlapping feature, along with other optimized device characteristics, are generally provided by defining a gate electrode over a substrate, forming an implant mask of dielectric, for example, on the sides of the gate electrode, and implanting a source/drain region such that the implant mask shields a portion of the substrate from implantation to provide a gap between a side edge of the gate electrode and the implanted regions. The source/drain region is then heat driven until its side edge is substantially aligned with the edge of the gate electrode. Self-aligned source/drain contacts are also provided using the implant mask to isolate the gate electrode from the contacts and interconnects.

A method is described for fabricating MOS devices of the type found in very large scale integrated circuits. According to the method described herein, various gate oxides and insulating layers are fabricated independently of each other in order to independently tailor their thicknesses and thereby provide improved isolation between gate electrodes and interconnects, and independently controllable operating characteristics for multiple gate electrode structures. The fabrication of a dynamic RAM memory cell, an overlapping gate CCD device and a self-aligned MNOS transistor cell are described using the disclosed method.
