Described herein is a cover for mounting to a door handle () comprises two parts () configured for mutual locking engagement such that when the parts are brought into mutual locking engagement around a door handle () at least a portion of the door handle is substantially enclosed within a cavity () formed between the two parts (). At least a portion of at least one of the parts () is coated, impregnated, or otherwise provided with a self-cleaning material. Also described is a push plate device comprising a first plate () for fixing to a door; and a second plate () configured to releasably attach to said first plate in order to form a composite plate structure (). The second plate () is at least partly coated, impregnated, or otherwise provided with a self-cleaning material so that the composite plate structure () presents a self-cleaning external surface.

A method and system are provided for concurrent message processing. The system includes: an input queue capable of receiving multiple messages in a given order; an intermediary for processing the messages; and an output queue for releasing the messages from the intermediary. Means are provided for retrieving a message from an input queue for processing at the intermediary and starting a transaction under which the message is to be processed. The intermediate logic processes the transactions in parallel and a transaction management means ensures that the messages are released to the output queue in the order of the messages in the input queue.

A door handle () is adapted to apply liquid or gel (liquid/gel) to a user's hand. The handle () comprises a handle grip () and a liquid/gel reservoir () associated with the handle (). A liquid/gel displacement device is arranged in the grip () and a non-return valve () is provided to allow liquid/gel to flow from the reservoir () to the displacement device. A hollow trigger () is displaceably mounted on the grip () and adapted to actuate the displacement device when the handle () is gripped for displacement of liquid/gel from the displacement device, into the trigger () and then on to a hand or its digits gripping the trigger ().

One or more policies to be applied to a set of one or more messages in a message oriented middleware are defined. Metrics of the message oriented middleware are monitored. Application of a policy in response to a trigger condition being satisfied is initiated. Application of the policy applies actions across the set of one or more messages.

Application of system level policy in message oriented middleware

The invention discloses a subscription which is made to receive request messages on one or more topics from a first broker. A subscription is made to receive all messages published at either the first or the second broker to a replyto topic including a bridge identifier. A request message is received from the first broker, the request message specifying a temporary replyto topic on which responses to the request should be published. The temporary reply to topic is modified to specify a bridge identifier. The modified request message is forwarded to a second broker. A response to the request is received from the second broker, the response being published on the replyto topic including the bridge identifier. The bridge receives the response as a result of the subscription to receive all messages published to a topic including the bridge identifier. The response is forwarded to the first broker.

Bridge for linking two publish/subscribe message brokers

There is disclosed a method, computer program and bridge for linking two publish/subscribe message brokers together. A subscription is made to receive request messages on one or more topics from a first broker. A subscription is made to receive all messages published at either the first or the second broker to a replyto topic including a bridge identifier. A request message is received from the first broker, the request message specifying a temporary replyto topic on which responses to the request should be published.
