A wireless technology device and method for securely communicating a status of a wireless technology device to a non-paired device, includes detecting a status changing event of the wireless technology device, locking the wireless technology device from an unauthorized pairing with another device, in response to detecting the status changing event, sending an encrypted data regarding the status changing event to at least one non-paired device, which is received in a buffer of the at least one non-paired device, wherein, in response to receiving the encrypted data, the at least one non-paired device automatically communicates the encrypted data to a centralized computing network for decrypting the encrypted data, and unlocking the wireless technology device when an authorized pairing attempt is successful.

Securely communicating a status of a wireless technology device to a non-paired device

A method, computer program product, and system performing a method that includes a processor(s) of a local/private computing system (LPCS) receiving, via a public computing system and a communication network, on behalf of a user of the public computer system, a request to use computing resource(s) belonging to the LPCS. The processor(s) determine a set of usage parameters comprising a first usage limitation, with the first usage limitation including a first limitation type and first limitation value, and with the first usage limitation defining a limit on usage of the computing resource(s) on behalf of the user. The processor(s) receives, via the public computing system and the communication network, a workload of the user. The processor(s) processes the workload, which includes the processor limiting, by machine logic, usage of the resources(s), on behalf of the user, in accordance with the usage parameters.

Providing use of local or private cloud infrastructure resources to public cloud providers

The present invention relates to a method for the dynamic creation or reconfiguration of a contact group listing based upon retrieved metadata. The method comprising identifying a contact that is to be added to a primary contact list, the primary contact list being configured to be accessed by at least one sub-list group, wherein sub-list groups are associated with predetermined metadata classification criteria. The method further comprises interrogating data sources in order to identify metadata that is associated with the contact, and retrieving from the data sources all metadata that has been associated with the contact. The retrieved metadata is subsequently utilized to dynamically generate or reconfigure sub-list groupings in accordance with the information that is retrieved from the metadata.

Methods, system and computer program products for detection of frequent improper removals of and changing writing policies to prevent data loss in memory sticks. Exemplary embodiments include a method including detecting insertions of the memory stick, detecting removals of the memory stick, tracking a number of times the memory stick has been docked when removed, tracking a number of times the memory stick has been undocked when removed, determining a removal ratio of times the memory has been removed when docked to the number of times the memory stick has been removed when undocked, comparing the removal ratio to a predetermined threshold, caching writes and directory updates, and committing the writes and directory updates to the memory stick when the removal ratio is below the predetermined threshold and, flushing all writes and updates to the memory stick when in the removal ratio is equal to or above the predetermined threshold.

Detection of frequent improper removals of and changing writing policies to prevent data loss in memory sticks

A method, system and computer-readable medium for configuration file sharing are presented. In a preferred embodiment, the method includes the steps of: creating, in a controller, a superset registry file that includes old registry data, new registry data, and kindred registry data, wherein the old registry data and the new registry data are incompatible, and wherein the kindred registry data is compatible with both the old registry data and the new registry data; and contemporaneously downloading the kindred registry data and software version-specific registry data, selected from the old registry data and the new registry data, to a requesting client.

The method comprising: enabling the creation of a first chat session between a first chat party and a second chat party, communication in the first chat session being bidirectional between the first chat party and the second chat party, the first chat session being a sub-chat of a chat thread; enabling the creation of a second chat session between the first chat party and a third chat party, communication in the second chat session being bidirectional between the first chat party and the third chat party, the second chat session being another sub-chat of the chat thread; and enabling the third chat party to passively participate in the first chat session while actively communicating with the first chat party, the third chat party and the second chat session being transparent to the second chat party.
