A fluid system for a machine includes a tube assembly and a sock filter enveloping the tube assembly. The fluid system also includes a filter protector adjacent to a fastener in the tube assembly and including a first connector fitted with a first tube, a second connector fitted with a second tube, and a wall that arcs between the first connector and the second connector and limits contact between a sock filter enveloping the tube assembly and the fastener.

A dosing system for dosing diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) into an inlet of a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) aftertreatment module of a diesel engine is described. The dosing system may comprise a DEF supply line configured to deliver the DEF from a pump to a first injector and a second injector at the inlet. The DEF supply line may include a tri-axis connector configured to split the DEF from the pump into two portions each exiting one of a first outlet port and a second outlet port, a first delivery conduit configured to deliver the DEF exiting the first outlet port to the first injector, and a second delivery conduit configured to deliver the DEF exiting the second outlet port to the second injector. The first injector and the second injector may dose the same quantity of the DEF into the inlet of the aftertreatment module.

A mounting assembly for an injector is located in a curved portion of an exhaust line having an exhaust flow from an upstream end to a downstream end. The mounting assembly includes an indent extending at least partially into the exhaust line curved portion and disposed in the exhaust flow. The downstream wall has an interior surface oriented to substantially face the exhaust line downstream end. A recess extends from the downstream wall in a direction away from the exhaust line downstream end, and a recess aperture is formed in the recess and configured to fluidly communicate with the injector. The recess reduces the amount of exhaust heat reaching the injector tip.

Mounting assembly for a reductant injector

A cooling system for an injector tip for a diesel emission fluid (DEF) injection system is disclosed. The system uses a heat sink, such as a head for a regeneration system, to vaporize cooling fluid, in combination with a phase separation tank, to force cooling fluid backward through a cooling loop thereby allowing cooling of an injector tip following engine shutdown in a 'hot' shutdown situation.

Injector cooling apparatus

A system for cooling a reductant injector in an emissions module is provided. The system includes an emissions module, coupled to an engine exhaust duct, and a cooling system fluidly coupled to the emissions module. The emissions module includes a reductant system and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) module. The reductant system includes a reductant injector having a cooling passage. The cooling system includes a reservoir tank, a supply pump fluidly coupled to the reservoir tank, and a siphon tank fluidly coupled to the supply pump and the reductant injector cooling passage. The siphon tank is disposed proximate to the reductant injector, and a gravitational elevation of a base of the siphon tank is greater than a gravitational elevation of the reductant injector.

An engine system includes an exhaust gas recirculation conduit having an inlet in fluid communication with an exhaust conduit and an outlet in fluid communication with an intake air conduit. An exhaust gas recirculation performance balancing restrictor has an uninstalled position wherein the exhaust conduit defines a first backpressure at the inlet of the exhaust gas recirculation conduit. The exhaust gas recirculation performance balancing restrictor also has an installed position in which the exhaust gas recirculation performance balancing restrictor is removably disposed within the exhaust conduit downstream from the inlet of the exhaust gas recirculation conduit. In the installed position, the exhaust gas recirculation performance balancing restrictor provides a fixed flow restriction through the exhaust conduit to generate a second backpressure at the inlet of the exhaust gas recirculation conduit that is greater than the first backpressure.
