A display assembly for a headstone includes a frame. A plurality of arms is coupled to and extends from a bottom of the frame. The arms are configured to position on opposing faces of a headstone. Each of a plurality of couplers is coupled to a respective arm distal from the frame. The coupler is configured to couple the arm to the headstone so that the frame is positioned atop the headstone. A plurality of spikes is coupled to and extends perpendicularly from the bottom of the frame to proximate to a top of the frame. The plurality of spikes is configured to insert into a block. The block is configured to insert items, such as flowers, to couple the items to the frame to decorate the headstone.

Display assembly

A secure data parser is provided that may be integrated into any suitable system for securely storing and communicating data. The secure data parser may split or share a data set into multiple portions that are stored or communicated distinctly. Encryption of the original data, the portions of data, or both may be employed for additional security. The secure data parser may be used to protect data in motion by splitting an original data set into portions of data that may be communicated using one or more communications paths. Secure workgroup communication is supported through the secure distribution and management of a workgroup key for use with the secure data parser.

Systems and methods for secure workgroup management and communication

Functional encryption keys can be selected based on a set of criteria that facilitates efficient decryption of ciphertexts. The method includes electronically storing one or more decryption key metadata parameters for a plurality of candidate decryption keys for a functional encryption ciphertext, storing a functional encryption ciphertext, extracting a scheme type of functional input from the ciphertext, extracting a functional input from the ciphertext, searching the metadata parameters to identify a set of candidate keys matching the scheme type of the ciphertext, searching the set of candidate keys to identify a key matching the extracted functional input, and selecting one of the identified candidate keys matching the scheme type and the extracted functional input as a decryption key for the functional encryption ciphertext.

Functional encryption key management

Functional encryption (FE) ciphertext is transformed into partially-decrypted (PD) ciphertext. The PD ciphertext has a shorter bit length than the FE ciphertext, or the decryption time of the PD ciphertext is less than the decryption time of the FE ciphertext. The FE ciphertext can be an attribute-based encryption ciphertext. The transformation can be performed with a transformation key generated by an authority with a master key or by a user with a decryption key. The transformation can also be performed, without a transformation key, based on unencrypted components of the FE ciphertext and on auxiliary information associated with the unencrypted components of the FE ciphertext. The PD ciphertext can require less transmission time across a network than the FE ciphertext. The PD ciphertext can require less time to decrypt than the FE ciphertext, particularly when the computational resources performing the decryption are limited.

Outsourcing the decryption of functional encryption ciphertexts

A method for performing unidirectional proxy re-encryption includes generating a first key pair comprising a public key (pk) and a secret key (sk) and generating a re-encryption key that changes encryptions under a first public key pkinto encryptions under a second public key pkas rk. The method further includes performing one of the group consisting of encrypting a message m under public key pkproducing a ciphertext c, re-encrypting a ciphertext cusing the re-encryption key rkthat changes ciphertexts under pkinto ciphertexts under pkto produce a ciphertext cunder pk, and decrypting a ciphertext cunder pkto recover a message m. The method also includes encrypting a message m under a public key pk producing a first-level ciphertext cthat cannot be re-encrypted, and decrypting a first-level ciphertext cusing secret key sk.

Unidirectional proxy re-encryption

Disclosed is a method and apparatus for sharing sensitive data. A trusted operating system is configured to securely execute boot instructions for one or more hardware component. A virtual operating system in communication with the trusted operating system is configured with one or more security policies defining access rights associated with the one or more hardware component.

Method and apparatus for limiting access to sensitive data

A protector device and method for using the same that prevents a bow from striking the edge of the stringed instrument in a waist region of the instrument, substantially eliminating potential harm to the instrument, such as nicks, dents, scratches, cracks and the like due to inadvertent bow strikes. A crescent-shaped device constructed and arranged to be detachably secured to a waist portion of a bowed stringed instrument sound box. The device is dimensioned such that, when installed on the stringed instrument, it prevents a bow from contacting the edge of the instrument in the belly region during normal use of the instrument. The apparatus may be a unitary member or may be a multi-layered device. In one embodiment, the protector device includes a flexible elongate outer shell and an elongate inner cushion attached to the outer shell. The apparatus is configured to be installed within the stringed instrument waist adjacent to the edge of the belly. The outer shell has a spring force urging the apparatus towards a linear configuration. This urging causes the apparatus to be retained within the waist against the edge of the belly.
