Fluid-dispensing systems and methods relating thereto are described. A method of dispensing an output fluid stream includes: (i) receiving a temperature setting for a desired temperature of the output fluid stream and a mechanical disturbance for a desired flow rate of the output fluid stream; (ii) converting each of the temperature setting and the mechanical disturbance to a first valve PWM signal and a second valve PWM signal; (iii) conveying the first PWM signal to a first motor and the second PWM signal to a second motor; and (iv) activating the first motor to open the first valve to produce a first fluid flow at a first fluid flow rate and second motor and the first motor to open the second valve to produce a first fluid flow at a first fluid flow rate. The combination of the first fluid flow and the second fluid flow produces the desired output fluid stream.

Fluid-dispensing systems and methods related thereto

Fluid-dispensing systems and methods relating thereto are described. A method of dispensing fluid includes: (i) receiving, from a temperature encoder, a temperature signal; (ii) receiving, from a flow rate encoder, a flow rate signal; (iii) providing, based on the temperature signal and the flow rate signal, a first amount of power required by a first motor; (iv) providing, based on the temperature signal and the flow rate signal, a second amount of power required by a second motor; (v) opening, based on the first amount of power, the first valve by a first amount of valve opening; (vi) opening, based on the second amount of power, the second valve by a second amount of valve opening; and (vii) facilitating admixing of a first fluid flow at a first fluid flow rate, received from the first valve, and a second fluid flow at a second fluid flow rate, received from the second valve, to create an admixed fluid stream.

The present disclosure, among other things, provides new technologies for preparation of anisotropic nanoparticle cores (e.g., anisotropic gold nanoparticle cores) and compositions thereof. Provided technologies show a number of advantages as compared with previously available options for preparing anisotropic nanoparticle cores, including, for example, that they typically utilize mild reaction conditions and, in many embodiments, only environmentally benign agents. The present invention therefore provides 'green' nanoparticle technologies. Surprisingly, in many cases, the same set of reactants can be used, under modestly different conditions, to generate nanoparticle cores of different shapes. The present invention provides selection rules for reaction conditions that generate populations containing particular shapes of interest.

Anisotropic particles, methods and uses thereof

The present disclosure, among other things, provides new technologies for preparation of medical isotope labeled metal(loid) chalcogen nanoparticles for use in medical imaging and/or therapeutic applications. Provided technologies show a number of advantages as compared with previously available options for preparing and utilizing medical isotopes, including, for example, they utilize metal(loid) chalcogen nanoparticles that serve as universal binders (e.g., via covalent or non-covalent (e.g., chelate) bonds) for medical isotopes to provide medical isotope labeled metal(loid) chalcogen nanoparticles. Surprisingly, the same metal(loid) chalcogen nanoparticles may be used to bind (e.g., covalent or non-covalent e.g., chelation) bonding) a wide variety of different useful medical isotopes without the use of traditional chelating agents.

Metal(loid) chalcogen nanoparticles as universal binders for medical isotopes

The present disclosure, among other things, provides a composition including a nanoscale core; a plurality of capping agent entities associated on the core; an outer encapsulant layer; and a plurality of dopant entities distributed at locations selected from the group consisting of: on or within the nanoscale core, on or between capping agent entities, on or within the encapsulating layer, and combinations thereof. Provided technologies can achieve unprecedented levels of dopant entity density and/or surface localization, which, for a SE(R)RS-active agent dopant, results in dramatically improved signal intensity and/or imaging sensitivity.

Particles, methods and uses thereof

The present disclosure, among other things, provides a composition of a particle including a substrate; at least a first condensation layer comprising at least a first dopant entity; and at least a second layer comprising a second dopant entity. In some embodiments, different dopant entities are included in different layers. In some embodiments, such dopant entities are or comprise detectable entities. This, in some embodiments, provided technologies achieve multi-modality particles. Among the many advantages of provided technologies include the ability to image particles by a plurality of distinct imaging modalities and/or in a plurality of contexts (e.g., pre-surgical, intraoperative and/or post-surgical environments). The present invention provides methods that include a single administration of particles to a subject, followed by a plurality of steps that comprise imaging the administered particles, which steps may utilize different imaging technologies and/or be performed at different times and/or in different environments.

Multimodal particles, methods and uses thereof

A search engine is provided for searching, evaluating and/or optimizing an emergent model on a computer network. The emergent model is created by independently generating, publishing references to, and subscribing to data objects and/or function objects in a manner free of a globally predefined data object and/or function object definition. Messages are sent to referencing data objects and/or function objects when referenced data objects and/or function objects change. Functions within the function objects are solved when the messages are received. The data objects and/or the function objects are stored in a distributed manner across multiple computing devices on a computer network. At least one of the data objects is defined as an input data object and at least one of the data objects is defined as an output data object to a search engine, the search engine generating changes to the input data object until the output data object satisfies a predefined criteria.
