A power connector assembly includes a power rail and a slide power connector. The power rail is mounted to a first wall of a first component via mechanical standoffs to define a clearance space between the power rail and the first wall. An electrode is disposed along a first side of the power rail facing the first wall. The slide power connector is mounted to a second wall of a discrete, second component. The slide power connector defines a track that receives the power rail therein. At least one power contact of the slide power connector is disposed within the clearance space and is electrically connected to the electrode of the power rail to establish an electrical connection. At least one of the first and second components is movable relative to the other along an extension cycle. The electrical connection is maintained throughout the extension cycle.

Power connector assembly for a communication system

A device includes a printed circuit assembly (PCA) including a printed circuit board and at least one electronic component integrated with the printed circuit board, and a support to which the PCA is securable. At least one of the PCA and the support includes engaging structure elements, and some engaging structure elements are configured to secure the PCA to the support while other engaging structure elements are configured to secure the support to a securing structure within a housing of an electronic device.

Support for a printed circuit assembly

In an embodiment, an apparatus includes a housing and a cover. The housing can include a surface to receive a terminal block to transmit power to an electrical component. A shroud to be inserted within the electrical component can extend away from the housing surface. The cover can have an end for hingedly attaching to the housing. The cover is pivotable relative to the housing between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the cover and the housing together form an enclosure for the terminal block.

An apparatus includes a housing and a cover. The housing can include a surface to receive a terminal block to transmit power to an electrical component. A shroud to be inserted within the electrical component can extend away from the housing surface. The cover can have an end for hingedly attaching to the housing. Another cover end can be configured to releasably lock to the housing. The housing and the cover can have notches. The cover is pivotable relative to the housing between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the cover and the housing together form an enclosure for the terminal block, and the notches of the housing and the cover cooperatively define passageways configured to receive external wires to connect to the terminal block.

According to one embodiment of the invention, an apparatus includes a housing having a front side and a bottom side adjacent the front side. The apparatus also includes a plurality of light generating devices each operable to generate light in response to operation of a particular component of the apparatus. The apparatus also includes a plurality of light pipes each associated with a respective ones of the light generating devices and operable to display light generated by the respective light generating device such that the light is visible on the front side and on the bottom side of the housing. According to another embodiment, an apparatus includes a housing having at least one heat sink disposed therein and overlying a component of the apparatus. The apparatus also includes at least one heat sink having a base and a plurality of fins extending from the base. The apparatus also includes an elastic clip having a middle portion placing an elastic force on the base in order to couple the heat sink to the component and two end portions securing the clip in place.
