A technique facilitates deployment and operation of a pumping system, e.g. an electric submersible pumping system, in a borehole. A locking and sealing mechanism, e.g. a spring-loaded locking sealing mechanism, may be coupled with the pumping system and comprises an anchoring section along with a sealing section. The locking sealing mechanism may be constructed for deployment with the pumping system via a running tool. Once in position downhole, the anchoring section and the sealing section may be actuated into sealing engagement with the interior surface of a surrounding tubing. At this stage, production of a desired fluid may be accomplished by operating the pumping system.

System and methodology using locking sealing mechanism

A technique facilitates use of a submersible pumping system deployed downhole in a borehole. A docking assembly comprises a docking station which has at least one electrical wet connector and is coupled to a receiving tubular. An electrical power cable is coupled to the docking station to enable electrical power to be provided to the at least one electrical wet connector. The docking assembly is deployed downhole to a desired location in the borehole to enable coupling with the submersible pumping system. The submersible pumping system is simply moved downhole into the receiving tubular and into electrical engagement with the electrical wet connectors.

System and method related to pumping fluid in a borehole

A pumping system includes a submersible high speed electric motor operable to rotate a drive shaft; a high speed pump rotationally connected to the drive shaft and including a rotor having one or more helicoidal vanes; an isolation device operable to expand into engagement with a production tubing string, thereby fluidly isolating an inlet of the pump from an outlet of the pump and rotationally connecting the motor and the pump to the casing string; a cable having two or less conductors and a strength sufficient to support the motor, the pump, the isolation device, and a power conversion module (PCM); and the PCM operable to receive a DC power signal from the cable, and supply a second power signal to the motor.

Compact cable suspended pumping system for lubricator deployment

A method of installing or retrieving a pumping system into or from a live wellbore includes connecting a lubricator to a production tree of the live wellbore and raising or lowering one or more downhole components of the pumping system from or into the wellbore using the lubricator.
