An accommodating intraocular lens device for treatment of an eye having a lens body; internal support; stabilization system; and force translation arm. The lens body includes an accommodating membrane, an annular element, a static element, and a fixed volume of optical fluid filling a sealed chamber of the lens body. The annular element coupled to the perimeter of the accommodating membrane has a shape deformation membrane configured to undergo displacement relative to the perimeter region. The sealed chamber is formed by inner surfaces of the accommodating membrane, shape deformation membrane, and static element. The force translation arm has a first end operatively coupled to the shape deformation membrane and a free end available and configured to engage a ciliary structure of the eye. The force translation arm is moveable relative to the lens body to cause inward movement of the shape deformation membrane. Related methods, devices, and systems are provided.

Accommodating intraocular lens and methods of implantation

An insertion tool for delivering an implantable lens support device into an eye having a proximal end region; a distal end region having a distal hook; and an intermediate region connecting the distal end region to the proximal end region, the intermediate region being substantially planar. Delivery devices for implantation of intraocular lens support devices and methods of use

An implantable device for supporting an artificial intraocular lens in an eye having an anterior segment of a capsular bag, an iris, and a sclera. The device includes a posterior platform having an anterior-facing surface and an inner wall defining, at least in part, a central aperture. When the device is implanted in the eye, light passes through the intraocular lens and the central aperture of the posterior platform towards the retina. The device includes at least one awning positioned over the anterior-facing surface of the posterior platform forming at least one recess anterior to the posterior platform. The device is configured to be deployed in the eye posterior of the iris so that no portion of the device rests in contact with the sclera after implantation. Disclosed is an accommodating intraocular lens device for treatment of an eye including a stabilization haptic () configured to be positioned within a region of an eye and a lens body having a sealed chamber containing a fixed volume of optical fluid. The lens body includes a shape changing membrane () configured to outwardly bow in a region surrounding the optical axis of the eye; a shape deformation membrane configured to undergo displacement relative to the first shape changing membrane; and a static element (). An inner surface of the shape changing membrane, an inner surface of the shape deformation membrane and an inner surface of the static element collectively form the sealed chamber. The lens device also includes a force translation arm () having a first end configured to contact an outer surface of the shape deformation membrane of the lens body and a second end configured to engage a ciliary structure of the eye. The force translation arm is configured to move relative to the lens body upon movement of the ciliary structure.

Accommodating intraocular lens

A device for supporting an intraocular lens in an eye. The device has a lens support structure having an inner perimeter surface defining, at least in part, a central opening. When implanted, light may pass through the central opening towards the retina. The device has at least three fixation arms, each having an origin portion coupled to the lens support structure and a terminal portion comprising an anchor for trans-scleral fixation of the device. Prior to implantation, at least one fixation arm is biased towards a folded configuration and has a bend between the origin portion and the terminal portion. The origin portion extends away from the lens support structure and the anchor of the terminal portion is positioned over or under at least one of a portion of the lens support structure and a portion of the central opening.
