Signals-based data syndication and collaboration is disclosed. A data store of insurance related data collected from a plurality of carriers is accessed. A pattern is identified based at least in part on data stored in the data store. The pattern is associated with a first set of insurance related data belonging to a first carrier and with a second set of insurance related data belonging to a second carrier. First and second users associated with the first and second carriers are notified, respectively, of the identified pattern. Consent from the first user to share at least a portion of the first set of insurance related data and consent from the second user to share at least a portion of the second set of insurance related data are obtained. At least a portion of the second set of insurance related data that the second user has consented to share is caused to be presented to the first user. At least a portion of the first set of insurance related data that the first user has consented to share is caused to be presented to the second user.

Signals-based data syndication and collaboration

Generating a filtered view of an insurance product model is disclosed. A master insurance product model comprising a plurality of insurance policy elements is accessed. Each insurance policy element has a set of one or more availability indicators that indicate one or more conditions under which the insurance policy element is available. A specification of a set of filtering criteria specifying at least one value corresponding to at least one of the set of availability indicators is obtained. The master insurance product model is examined using the set of filtering criteria to generate a resulting insurance product model, wherein the resulting insurance product model is used as a basis for generating specific insurance policies. The resulting insurance product model is presented in a display.

A technique of tracking insurance funds using an interpretive representation of accounting information includes obtaining a plurality of accounting entities. It further includes deriving, based on the accounting entities, a plurality of funds-source entities and a plurality of funds-use entities. It further includes, in response to an allocation scheme, creating a set of tracking entities that allocate the funds-source entities to the funds-use entities, wherein each tracking entity connects one funds-source entity and one funds-use entity.

Tracking insurance funds using an interpretive representation of accounting information

Insurance billing includes receiving a plurality of exceptions arising out of one or more billing events and associated with one or more billed parties; categorizing the plurality of exceptions into a plurality of exception groups based at least in part on one or more types of exceptions; determining, for an exception group corresponding to a particular type of exception, a plurality of exception metrics for each of one or more corresponding billed parties; presenting, to the user, a selectable plurality of exception groups; and in response to a user selection of a particular exception group, presenting to the user one or more billed party identifiers of the one or more corresponding billed parties in the particular exception group and the plurality of exception metrics determined for each of the one or more corresponding billed parties.

Method and apparatus pertaining to metrics-based prioritization of billing exceptions

A computer-based billing system presents, via an end-user interface, a plurality of exceptions as have occurred with respect to corresponding billing events as pertain to a plurality of billed parties while also presenting exceptions metrics as pertain to this plurality of exceptions. These exceptions metrics include at least one age-related metric, at least one financial-related metric, and at least one count-related metric. These teachings then further provide for permitting the end user to selectively prioritize the presenting of the plurality of exceptions as a function of at least one of these exceptions metrics.
