A diaphragm for use in a diaphragm-type flush valve includes a flexible diaphragm body having a first side and a second side and an outer periphery, a center passageway defined in the diaphragm body, a bypass orifice defined in the diaphragm body, and a sealing ring attached to the outer periphery of the flexible diaphragm body. The sealing ring defines an outer circumferential surface of the diaphragm. The outer circumferential surface of the sealing ring defines a recessed area. The recessed area is configured to be positioned in a keyed relationship with a flush valve body.

The present invention is a method and system of locating mobile devices and building a database of the mobile device locations through the interaction of mobile devices with one or more proximity activation systems. The method and system uses beacon proximity activity to refine the location of a beacon and the relative position of one or more mobile devices to the beacon through a multiple activation point distance calculation. As mobile devices come within a pre-determined proximity to a beacon, applications installed on the mobile devices supply a location and identity of the mobile device at the time of activation. The system and method uses numerous activations to refine and report the physical location of the beacon.

The embodiments herein provide a fireproof barrier shield comprising the panels combined together to form a fireproof blanket placed on the building structure to protect the structure from flying embers, radiant heat and fire accidents. The panel comprises an inner heat retardant layer an outer heat reflective layer secured together using a heat resistant adhesive glue or thread. Each panel has several slots for receiving a fastener for combining the panels. The straps comprising a buckle and a belt are provided for securing the fireproof blanket to the ground using screw type anchors or stakes. The buckle is made of heat conductive material and the strap is made of fireproof threads. The perforated channels with brass or aluminum hose fittings are sewn to the inner layer to allow the water flow. The shield comprises a third layer arranged as an outer layer or an inner layer.

A portable system is provided for sensing and training a user to maintain correct posture while seated in a chair with a seat portion and a back portion. The system includes a first pad attachable to the seat portion of a chair, said first pad having a front area and a rear area, and a second pad attachable to the back portion of a chair and having a lower area and an upper area. There is a first sensor located in the first pad capable of sensing that a user is seated in the seat portion of the chair, a second sensor located in the first pad capable of sensing whether the lower posterior portion of the user's body is in contact with the rear area of the first pad, a third sensor operably attached to the lower area of the second pad capable of sensing whether the user's lumbar region is in contact with the second pad, a fourth sensor operably attached to the upper area of the second pad capable of sensing the distance between the user's upper back and the upper area of the second pad and a neck-position sensor operably attached to the second pad and capable of sensing the distance between the neck-position sensor and the user's neck. The system also includes a microprocessor operably connected to the first sensor, second sensor, third sensor, fourth sensor and neck-position sensor and capable of collecting data from each of the first sensor, second sensor, third sensor, fourth sensor and neck position sensor. The system also includes software for a personal computer, which configures the personal computer to receive the data from the microprocessor and to display the data received from the microprocessor, so that the user can utilize the ergonomic seat pad to receive feedback regarding his posture and over time, improve his posture.

An assembly comprised of at least one fixed panel and at least two moveable panels is provided. Panel assemblies for variable shading and ventilation

A ring linkage is hereby disclosed that is comprised of at least six links, each link having at least two pivots located proximate to their ends, said links being arranged in a loop whereby each link is pivotally attached via its end pivots to two neighboring links. The motion of the linkage is synchronized by a multiplicity of mechanical elements that serve to synchronize the relative rotation of the links in the assembly such that when a given link rotates by an angle, every second link rotates by the same angle. These synchronizing elements may be either gears, cables or belts, thus the relative angle between the every second link in the ring linkage (as defined by lines passing through their respective end pivots) remains constant and unchanging even as the position of the linkage is changed.

A puzzle assembly is shown and comprises a multiplicity of geared links that are arranged such that their turning axes are oriented along the edges of a polyhedral shape so that when a single link is turned, all links turn synchronously. In the assembly, there are two end positions of the geared links. In each end position, a set of link groups are formed, each of those groups corresponding to one face of the polyhedral shape so that each link group forms a circular track that is inscribed on that particular face. When the puzzle assembly is moved to a second end position, a new set of new link groups is formed corresponding to a different a different set of faces of the polyhedral shape. The puzzle assembly further comprises a number of 'petal elements' equal to the number of geared links. The petals have a faceted form and a base piece that extends from that form for providing a sliding contact with the geared links. Each petal element is retained by a geared link. When the puzzle assembly is in one end position, a group of petals corresponding to a polyhedral face touch each other to form a pyramidal shape. Thus, one-half of their surfaces are exposed and one-half of their surfaces are hidden. When the puzzle assembly is 'flipped'&#x2014;the geared links are turned to their other end position&#x2014;the petals recombine to hide the previously visible surfaces and to reveal the previously invisible surfaces. Importantly, in either end position, the group of petals corresponding to a polyhedral face may be twisted around the center point of that face, thereby changing the correspondence between the geared links and the petal elements.
