A computer-implemented method for generating and updating a performance report for a system adapted to run a plurality of flows, which enables the performance data of individual running flows to be compared to flows with a similar function. This is achieved by linking each of the running flows to one of a plurality of templates which describes a function of a flow. Each template may have an associated performance summary generated for it, based on the performance data of the running flows linked to the template. A performance report can be generated from a plurality of the performance summaries. The performance report can then be updated by running a plurality of test flows on the spare capacity of the system, while obtaining test performance data from the test flows. The test performance data can be compared to performance data of running flows on the system linked to the template.

A method and system for modifying virtual reality (VR) boundaries based on usage includes defining, using a virtual reality system including a computer communicating with head set, a safe area defining a geographic location for a user. The safe area is monitored for when the user strays into a second area beyond the safe area. The second area is defined in relation to the safe area that the user strayed into beyond the safe area. The user interaction in the second area beyond the safe area for safety is assessed, and a determination is made when the second area is safe based on a criteria. In response to the determining that the second area is safe, not initiating an alert to the user of being outside the safe area.

Modifying virtual reality boundaries based on usage

A method for displaying a virtual item, generated by a user, in a physical space shared with other users, in an augmented reality environment, comprising of forming segments in the physical space, designating a designated interaction type of the segment for placing the virtual item, placing the virtual item, generated by the user, into the segment based on a comparison between the interaction type of the virtual item and the designated interaction type of the segment, and updating a user-accessible repository comprising information on the interaction type of a virtual item and the segment the virtual item is placed in.

Method and system for displaying a virtual item in an augmented reality environment

Augmenting a video stream of an environment is provided, the environment containing a private entity to be augmented. Video of the environment is processed in accordance with an entity recognition process to identify the presence of at least part of an entity in the environment. It is determined whether the identified entity is to be augmented based on information relating to the identified entity and the private entity. Based on determining that the identified entity is to be augmented, the video stream is modified to replace at least a portion of the identified entity with a graphical element adapted to obscure the portion of the identified entity in the video stream. By modifying the video stream to obscure an entity, private or personal information in the environment may be prevented from being displayed to a viewer of the video stream.
