A method and apparatus for mapping measurement tags to assets. At least one memory is configured to store a plurality of tags. At least one processor is configured to parse a database of the plurality of tags to identify patterns of terms, wherein the plurality of tags include one or more terms and are related to measurements performed by an asset in an industrial process control and automation system. The processor is further configured to display the plurality of tags grouped by the identified patterns of terms. The processor is further configured to receive an input to map the tag related to the asset based on the identified patterns of terms. The processor is further configured to map the tag to the asset based on the input.

Method and system for contextualizing process data

A method of process monitoring of an industrial process involving a tangible run an industrial facility includes providing an integrated facility digital twin (DT) implemented by a computer system which implements an aggregation algorithm that utilizes models including a plurality of inter-related static models for the industrial facility including an asset model that describes devices and systems in the industrial facility including sensors coupled to processing equipment and a flowsheet model, and dynamic models of the industrial facility including calculation models, symptom and fault models, dynamic simulation models, and machine learning models. The aggregation algorithm using outputs from the static models and dynamic model, generates an aggregated view including performance alerts for at least one of the process equipment and industrial process based on a current performance of the industrial process.

Integrated digital twin for an industrial facility

A method includes transmitting a notification to a first end-user device, where the notification is associated with an event in an industrial process control and automation system. The method also includes receiving a first read receipt identifying when a user of the first end-user device opened the notification or viewed or read details about the notification at the first end-user device. In addition, the method includes storing the first read receipt or information related to the first read receipt in association with the notification and/or the event. The method could also include transmitting the notification to a second end-user device and transmitting a first indication to the second end-user device, where the first indication indicates that the user of the first end-user device opened the notification or viewed or read the details about the notification.

Apparatus and method for automated event notification read receipt to support non-repudiated auditing or other functions in industrial process control and automation system

A method includes transmitting a notification to an end-user device, where the notification identifies an event in an industrial process control and automation system. The method also includes obtaining contextual information associated with the event, where the contextual information includes one or more types of additional information associated with the event. The method further includes transmitting the contextual information to the end-user device. In addition, the method could include receiving a request for the contextual information from the end-user device, where the contextual information is transmitted to the end-user device in response to the request. The contextual information could be obtained from multiple devices or systems automatically in response to the request.

Apparatus and method for providing event context with notifications related to industrial process control and automation system

A method includes obtaining information associated with multiple events in an industrial process control and automation system, where the information is obtained from one or more sources of data related to the industrial process control and automation system. The method also includes outputting the information to a notification system configured to generate multiple notifications for mobile end-user devices using the retrieved information. Obtaining the information associated with the multiple events includes using one or more queries to obtain at least part of the information from at least one of the one or more sources. The one or more queries support detection of events from the at least one source that is not configured or able to provide event information to the notification system.

Apparatus and method for event detection to support mobile notifications related to industrial process control and automation system

A method includes receiving information identifying multiple events in an industrial process control and automation system and routing the events to one or more subscribers, where the one or more subscribers include a notification system. The method also includes translating the events into notifications using the notification system and transmitting each notification for delivery to one or more mobile end-user devices. The method could further include identifying multiple rules, where each rule defines at least one condition and at least one action. Each condition is associated with at least one event, and each action is associated with information related to the at least one event. In addition, the method could include determining whether the at least one condition of each rule is satisfied based on the information identifying the multiple events, where the notifications are generated based on each rule whose at least one condition is satisfied.

Apparatus and method for translating industrial process control and automation system events into mobile notifications

A computing cloud system includes at least one data storage unit configured to store information associated with at least one manufacturing execution system. The computing cloud system also includes at least one processing unit configured to execute instructions associated with the at least one manufacturing execution system and at least one communications interface configured to receive information from the at least one manufacturing site and to interpret the information.

A system includes a computing cloud having at least one data storage unit and at least one processing unit. The computing cloud is configured to receive information associated with at least one process collected by an industrial tool, archive the process-related information, analyze the process-related information, and instruct a client device on a type of data to be cached by the client device. &#xa7;The industrial tool could include a sensor configured to collect data associated with industrial equipment. Also, the client device may be associated with a local environment, the sensor may be configured to capture sensor readings at a specified interval, and the local environment may be configured to use a subset of the sensor readings. The client device can be configured to provide all of the sensor readings to the computing cloud.

System and method for cloud computing

Systems and methods that include selecting a physical model and a procedural model associated with an industrial plant, projecting a cross-product of the physical model and the procedural model into a unit-operation association set using a projection matrix, the unit-operation association set associating units representing equipment in the industrial plant and operations representing processes performed in the industrial plant, and establishing internal and external adjacency sets within structures, the internal adjacency set identifying connections between inputs and outputs of individual units and operations, the external adjacency set identifying connections between outputs of some units and operation and inputs of other units and operations. These systems and methods may also include generating a hyperstructure representing the industrial plant using the association and adjacency sets.
