A computer-implemented method for reducing undesired crosstalk signals on an inactive channel of a device comprising the steps of: (i) determining system volume levels and associated signal amplitudes required to achieve a range of desired audio output attenuation levels on an active channel of the device; (ii) determining a crosstalk compensation signal comprising a signal amplitude and associated phase shift required to reduce undesired crosstalk on the inactive channel of the device for each desired audio output attention level in the range of desired audio output attenuation levels; and (iii) generating a desired audio output attenuation level on the active channel of the device by generating a signal at the determined system volume level and associated signal amplitude required to achieve said desired audio output attenuation level, and generating a contemporaneous crosstalk compensation signal on the inactive channel of the device by generating a signal at the determined signal amplitude and associated phase shift required to reduce the undesired crosstalk on the inactive channel.

Computer-implemented method for reducing crosstalk in a computer-based audiometer

A scope adapter for coupling a phone to an endoscope includes a base having a phone receiving portion for receiving and releasably supporting a phone. A first base end and a second base end define extents of a base cavity. A shaft is connected at opposite ends to each of the first and second base ends and spans across the base cavity. A threaded shaft is rotationally supported at opposite ends to the first and second base ends and spans across the base cavity. An endoscope positioned within the cavity is movably disposed along the shaft in each of a first direction and an opposite second direction by axial rotation of the threaded shaft. The endoscope includes a lens aperture that is positioned with respect to the phone receiving portion by displacement of the endoscope in either the first or second directions.

Adapter to couple a mobile phone to an endoscope

A computer-implemented method is provided for conducting a hearing assessment of a patient. The method includes: presenting a plurality of objects on a display of a computing device, where each object produces an audio output in response to a stimuli from the patient and the audio output by the objects varies in frequency and intensity amongst the plurality of objects; prompting a patient with a visual cue to classify objects producing sound; receiving an input from the patient for each object in the plurality of objects, where the input indicates whether the audio output by a given object was perceptible to the patient; and generating an audiogram for the patient using the input received from the patient.
