This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle, and in particular a vehicle body structure for a motor vehicle, with an extended roof reinforcement structure. An example vehicle includes an A-pillar, a roof side rail, a dash panel, and a reinforcement structure extending at least partially through the roof side rail and the A-pillar to a front end forward of the dash panel.

An assembly includes a vehicle frame having a crossmember defining a passage. The assembly includes a drive unit supported by the crossmember in the passage. The assembly includes a stabilizer fixed to the drive unit, the stabilizer permitting movement of the drive unit in a first direction relative to the passage and restricting movement of the drive unit in a second direction opposite the first direction.

A vehicle includes a window and a striker positioned to strike the window. The vehicle includes an actuator positioned to drive the striker. The vehicle includes a temperature sensor in communication with the actuator.

An assembly includes a subframe, a rocker, a battery cage supported by the rocker, and a battery supported by the battery cage. The assembly includes a reinforcement bolted to the rocker and positioned to be along a load path through the subframe resulting from a vehicle frontal impact.

A vehicle includes a storage compartment. The vehicle includes a hood above the storage compartment. The hood is movable relative to the storage compartment between an open position and a closed position. The vehicle includes a flange connected to one of the hood and the storage compartment and a ring-shaped energy absorber connected to the other of the hood and the storage compartment. The flange and the ring-shaped energy absorber both circumferentially enclose the storage compartment in the closed position. The vehicle includes a seal mounted to the ring-shaped energy absorber and positioned between the ring-shaped energy absorber and the flange in the closed position.

A seat includes a seat back frame and a mounting plate fixed to the seat back frame. A deployable plate is movably engaged with the mounting plate and is moveable away from the seat back frame from an undeployed position to a deployed position. An actuator is coupled to the deployable plate.

A frame assembly includes a rail including a straight portion, the straight portion including a first portion, a second portion, and a deformation trigger between the first and second portions, and a bracket attached to the first portion and the second portion.

An instrument panel component includes a wall, a first projection, and a second projection. The wall is configured to be supported by the instrument panel. The first and second projections are supported by the wall and extend in a common direction away from the wall. The length of the first projection is different than the length of the second projection and both projections are of a different material than the material of the wall.

A vehicle includes a battery pack having siderails and includes a front cradle having rearwardly extending arms connected to the siderails and a cross member longitudinally spaced from the battery pack. A brace has a midportion connected to the cross member and ends connected to the arms such that the brace creates load paths between the cross member and the siderails to inhibit impact between the cross member and the battery pack.

A restraint system includes a center console and an airbag inflatable upwardly from the center console. The airbag includes an internal panel defining two chambers. The internal panel includes a plurality of tubes, and each tube includes an opening at which that tube terminates. The openings are proximate a top of the airbag and open to the chambers.

A side sill assembly for a vehicle includes an inner shell connected to an outer shell and a reinforcement assembly. The reinforcement assembly includes a longitudinally extending tube and a plurality of reinforcement brackets provided at longitudinally spaced locations along the length of the tube. The reinforcement brackets each include a front wall and a back wall connected by an outer side wall. The reinforcement brackets define recesses for receiving the tube that is welded to the front walls and the back walls where the tube contacts an edge of the recesses. The reinforcement brackets may include a top flange on a top edge and a base flange on a bottom edge of each of the front walls and back walls. An inner flange is provided on an inner edge of each of the front walls and back walls that is welded to the inner shell.

A belly pan is provided for a motor vehicle. The belly pan includes a body having at least one stiffener with a forwardmost zone of peak section force F, an intermediate zone of peak section force Fand a rearwardmost zone of peak section force Fwhere F&#x3c;F&#x3c;F. Advantageously, the belly pan functions to provide pedestrian protection while simultaneously limiting vehicle damage resulting from a low-speed collision.
