An anti-spin system adapted for use on a rock crusher having stationary frame, a crushing head, a crushing head pivot point, a shaft, bearings, a crushing chamber, crushing chamber liners and working fluid. The preferred anti-spin system includes a flow source which is adapted to provide working fluid flow, a working fluid source which is adapted to supply working fluid, a control valve which is in fluid communication with the working fluid source and being adapted to allow the working fluid to flow to the flow source, and a torque transmittal assembly which is adapted to connect the crushing head and the flow source and transmit torque from the crushing head to the stationary frame. The preferred anti-spin system is adapted to control rotation of the crushing head. A method comprising providing such an anti-spin system and controlling the rotation of the crushing head.

Apparatus and method for an anti-spin system

A bearing assembly system adapted for use on a rock crusher having a main frame, a main shaft, an eccentric and a crushing head. The bearing assembly system comprises a first bearing ring which is disposed around the main shaft, a second bearing ring which is disposed adjacent to the first bearing ring, and a means for conveying fluid to at least one of the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring. In the preferred bearing assembly system at least one of the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring comprises a fluid depression. The preferred method further comprises conveying fluid from the means for conveying fluid to at least one of the first bearing ring and second bearing ring.

Apparatus and method for a bearing assembly system

A liner system, adapted for use with a rock crusher having a support bowl and a concave ring. The liner system comprises a collet that is adapted to apply a force to the concave ring and a collet adjuster that is adapted to lower and raise the collet, in the preferred liner system, the concave ring is removably retained in the support bowl of the rock crusher by the liner system. A method for adjusting a collet comprising providing such a liner system and adjusting the collet adjuster so as to removably retain the concave ring.

Apparatus and method for liner system

A sealing system adapted for use on an item of equipment having a male threaded component including a male threaded section having an interior portion. The sealing system comprises a female threaded component having a female threaded section and a scraper seal groove. The sealing system also comprises a scraper seal that is configured to be disposed in the scraper seal groove of the female threaded component and fit into the male threaded section of the male threaded component. The forces produced by the item of equipment pass directly to the female threaded component from the male threaded section. A method for sealing an interior portion of a threaded section of the male threaded component comprising providing such a sealing system and screwing the male threaded component, into the female threaded component.

A crusher adapted to crush feed materials comprising a main frame, a secondary frame disposed adjacent to the main frame, a crushing chamber adapted to receive feed materials, and a tramp iron relief system comprising a cylinder. The tramp iron relief system is adapted to allow a portion of the secondary frame to move away from the main frame. The cylinder is disposed substantially adjacent to the secondary frame. A method for installing a cylinder on a crusher and a method for removing a cylinder from a crusher wherein a lifting device remains attached to the cylinder continuously during each operation.

Apparatus and method for a crusher with an inverted cylinder

A jaw crusher having a stationary jaw and a movable jaw which define a variable crushing gap (or closed side setting), a toggle beam, and a toggle between the toggle beam and the movable jaw, and a toggle seat between the toggle and each of the beam and movable jaw for seating the toggle against the beam and movable jaw. A double-acting hydraulic ram having a connection with the toggle beam for shifting the toggle beam toward and away from the fixed jaw. An abutment is supported by the housing and engageable by the toggle beam for defining an adjustably variable limit of shifting thereof. End caps provide a rigidly guided sliding toggle beam having a plurality of alternatively selectable positions of adjustment. An hydraulic circuit is connected to each end of the relief ram for extending and retracting thereof, a relief valve is provided for the ram for providing a quick discharge path for oil in the rams to vent the latter to substantially lower pressure to thereby provide a rapid overload release of the cylinder when uncrushable material is encountered in the crusher, and a double-acting toggle tension hydraulic ram in the circuit and pivotally connected between the toggle beam and the movable jaw to tension the toggle and its seats together. The jaw crusher and its hydraulic circuit enable the material between the jaws to be cleared when the machine has encountered an unscheduled stop due to, for example, an overload in the system, the failure of the electrical power system, the failure of the belt driving system, or any other unscheduled stops.

A gyratory crusher includes an anti-spin mechanism which is coupled to a lower end of a main shaft of the crusher and which prevents the main shaft and associated crushing head from spinning when the crusher is not subject to a crushing load. The anti-spin mechanism includes 1) a hydraulic brake, and 2) a gear train which couples the main shaft to the hydraulic brake so as to drive the hydraulic brake to rotate faster than the main shaft while at the same time permitting relative sliding motion between the main shaft and the hydraulic brake without unduly increasing the complexity or height of the crusher. The hydraulic brake is supercharged so as to respond immediately to a tendency of the main shaft to spin. As a result, only relatively low braking forces are required to prevent spinning.
