The present disclosure provides a dual mode antenna, comprising: a first conductive piece; and a second conductive piece, configured to electromagnetically couple with the first conductive piece through a dielectric at a second frequency to operate as a loop antenna with the first conductive piece and configured to operate independently of the first conductive piece at a first frequency to operate as a monopole antenna. The dual mode antenna can be included in an antenna array as one of a plurality of dual mode antennas coupled to a routing substrate or a reference dual mode antenna coupled to the routing substrate along with a plurality of single mode antennas coupled to the routing substrate; wherein each antenna of the plurality of dual mode antennas, the reference dual mode antenna, and the plurality of single mode antennas is arranged evenly relative to a first neighboring antenna and a second neighboring antenna.

A preemption service in a wireless network is described. The preemption network increases the reliability of preemption traffic to be quickly delivered over the wireless network. The active preemption service in wireless networks causes the devices in a wireless network to enter a low transmit power state where every device transmits at a power lower than a high or maximum transmission power. Preemption traffic is transmitted from authorized devices at a high or maximum power, over the lower power transmissions, in order to provide an increased guarantee that the preemption traffic will arrive at the intended recipient.

Techniques for identifying potentially interfering wireless incumbents are disclosed. These techniques include receiving, from an electronic repository, a list of one or more wireless devices operating in a wireless communication band used by a wireless communication network. The list is selected from a plurality of wireless devices operating in the wireless communication band, based on a geographical location relating to the wireless communication network. The techniques further include scanning a plurality of radio channels relating to the wireless communication band, and identifying an interfering device for the wireless communication network based on comparing spectral data from the scanning with data in the list of one or more wireless devices.

Techniques for enhanced wireless sensing or ranging are provided. First and second channel state information (CSI) data, for a first and second link of a plurality of links in a multi-link operation (MLO) system, is collected. A set of channel parameters is estimated, based on the second CSI data, using a channel propagation model. First predicted CSI data for the first link is generated based on the estimated set of channel parameters. The first CSI data is calibrated based on the first predicted CSI data, comprising determining at least one of an amplitude difference or a phase difference between the first CSI data and the first predicted CSI data. Aggregated CSI data is generated based on the calibrated first CSI data and the second CSI data, and at least one of wireless sensing or wireless ranging is performed based on the aggregated CSI data.

An arrangement of three radios maybe provided. The three radios define first and second outer data links and a middle data link. Access to the arrangement of three radios can be biased to the middle data link in one direction upon a data transmission through the first and second outer data links being dominate in an opposite direction. Data transmission with enhanced multi-link single radio (eMLSR) client devices can be prioritized lower than data transmission with simultaneous transmit and receive radio (STR) client devices and non-simultaneous transmit and receive radio (NSTR) client devices. A radio can be configured for data transmission with a client device. The range of the radio is limited when the data traffic through the radio exceeds a determined number of bytes of data in a determined amount of time.

Techniques for classification of wireless signals are disclosed. These techniques include receiving data describing radio frequency characteristics of a wireless network transmission environment and presenting the data for display on a graphical user interface (GUI) associated with a network device in the wireless network. The techniques further include receiving input from the GUI identifying one or more portions of the data, and training a machine learning (ML) model to classify an interferer in the wireless network transmission environment based on the identified one or more portions of the data.

A method for providing adaptive radio transmit power based on antenna pattern and elevation tilt measured through an accelerometer is provided. The method includes estimating an orientation of a wireless device using an orientation sensor integrated in or on the wireless device, and determining an adjustment factor for a transmitter of the wireless device based on the orientation. The method further includes adjusting output power of the transmitter of the wireless device based on the adjustment factor.

A transmitter may determine a Backscatter Device (BKD) to send a transmission to for backscattering. The transmitter may determine a width of a puncture in the transmission. Next, the transmitter may transmit the transmission to the BKD. The transmitter may receive feedback from a receiver about decoding a backscattered signal generated using the transmission. The transmitter may adjust the width of the puncture for a subsequent transmission based on the feedback.

A system and methods by which a reconfigurable intelligent surface device is dynamically configured to control the reflection of transmissions made between an access point and one or more client devices so as to protect the transmissions from being properly received by an unauthorized device. These methods may be used to maintain data confidentiality, particularly for remote workers. The positions of the access point and client devices are used to configure the reconfigurable intelligent surface device to reflect the transmissions inward and avoid/minimize leakage outside a physical space.

Techniques herein facilitate dynamic configuration of a wireless local area network (WLAN) for large public venue (LPV) environments. In one example, a method may include providing an initial configuration for access points APs of a WLAN for an event at an LPV based on a profile for the event, a location of each AP for the venue, and anticipated demand at the APs; determining, for a particular time for the event, a distribution of wireless devices and channel support capabilities of the wireless devices different locations for the LPV; and providing an updated configuration for one or more APs at the one or more locations for the venue based on the distribution of the wireless devices and the channel support capabilities of the wireless devices determined for the particular time for the event at the LPV.

Dynamic wireless local area network configuration in large public venue environments

A method, computer system, and computer program product are provided for prioritizing network traffic. An indication is received at a network controller that an alarm is activated at a physical site. A request is received from a user device to join a network at the physical site that is under control of the network controller, wherein the request includes a flag indicating an identity of a user of the user device and a priority status of the user. In response to authenticating the identity of the user via an identity provider server, the user device is authorized to join the network. Based on verifying the priority status of the user using the flag and authentication via the identity provider server, network traffic for the user device is prioritized.

Prioritizing network traffic for emergency services

Methods and systems for distinguishing between radar signals and Wi-Fi signals are provided. When a set of electromagnetic signals are received, various tests are performed on the signals to determine if the signals are associated with radar pulses or if the signals are more likely to be associated with stray Wi-Fi signals or other non-radar interference. One such test relies on the relatively small variance of frequencies used by radar pulses when compared to the high variation of Wi-Fi signals. Another test relies on the relatively low peak to average power ratio of signals associated with radar pulses when compared to Wi-Fi signals. The tests described herein are an improvement on existing methods for distinguishing radar signals from Wi-Fi signals and result in less switching of Wi-Fi channels due to erroneously detected radar signals.

Next, from each of the plurality of client devices on their respective corresponding non-overlapping sub-channel, a respective corresponding preamble may be received.
