Time and frequency synchronization may then be performed for each of the plurality of client devices based on their respective corresponding preamble.

Staggered Multi-User (MU) uplink in an Ambient Power (AMP) Backscatter Device (BKD) group may be provided. A transmitter AP may determine to receive uplink data from an AMP BKD group and then transmit a session initialization message to a receiver AP instructing the receiver AP to receive the uplink data from the AMP BKD group. The transmitter AP may receive an initialization response from the receiver AP indicating the receiver AP will receive the uplink data. The transmitter may transmit an AMP BKD initialization signal to the AMP BKD group indicating to the AMP BKD group to perform scattering without collisions. The transmitter AP may then transmit an excitation transmission for the AMP BKD group to perform scattering.

Triggering staggered multi-user uplink in ambient power device group

Techniques for improved peer-to-peer communication are provided. A roaming peer-to-peer device may identify a new access point (AP) and initiate a transition to the new AP. Initiating transition can involve sending, to the new AP, the current peer-to-peer communication schedule for approval and/or negotiating a modified peer-to-peer communication schedule with the new AP. When the roaming peer-to-peer device and the new AP agree on the peer-to-peer communication schedule, the peer-to-peer device may notify its counterpart that it has roamed to the new AP and also notify the counterpart of any updates to the peer-to-peer communication schedule.

P2P continuity during a client roam

Techniques for beamforming from wireless stations (STAs) are disclosed. These techniques include identifying a plurality of STAs for a beamforming group, for transmission to a wireless access point (AP). The techniques further include receiving, at the AP, first data transmitted from each of the plurality of STAs in the beamforming group to the AP at least partially at the same time, wherein the transmitting the first data from each of the plurality of STAs results in constructive interference between the transmissions from the plurality of STAs to the AP, and wherein the same first data is received from each of the plurality of STAs in the beamforming group.

Granular guard interval tuning may be provided. A delay profile for a plurality of sub-bands in a serving channel may be created. Then delay spread information from at least one calibration helper device for the plurality of sub-bands in the serving channel may be received. Next, a delay spread matrix based on the delay profile, the delay spread information, and a location of the calibration helper devices may be created. The delay spread matrix may then be used to determine optimal Guard Intervals (GIs).

The present disclosure is directed to simultaneous channel sounding on multiple MLO channels followed by determining phase and amplitude corrections based on channel impulse responses obtained on each MLO channel. The corrections are then used in subsequent extrapolation of channel sounding on one channel to another. In one aspect, a method includes transmitting, on each radio interface of a first multi-link device, a corresponding sounding probe to a second multi-link device; determining, by each radio interface of the first multi-link device, a corresponding channel impulse response based on the corresponding sound probe to yield a plurality of channel impulse responses; determining an offset between the plurality of channel impulse responses; and using the offset during a subsequent extrapolation of a sounding probe on one radio interface to a second radio interface of the first multi-link device.

Presented herein are infrastructure triggering techniques for secure Ultra-Wideband (UWB) ranging. In one example, a method may include providing UWB ranging parameters to a mobile device via a first radio communication, wherein the first radio communication is a non-UWB radio communication; and triggering the mobile device to perform UWB ranging with a UWB anchor, wherein the triggering is performed using a second radio communication. In another example, a method may include, obtaining, by a mobile device, UWB ranging parameters for a geographic area; obtaining a UWB ranging instruction for the geographic area; and performing UWB ranging with a target UWB anchor based on the UWB ranging parameters and the UWB ranging instruction.

Infrastructure triggering techniques to facilitate secure ultra-wideband (UWB) ranging

Presented herein are techniques for scheduling Ultra-Wideband (UWB) anchors and mobile devices for client ranging. A control device can determine respective ranging priorities for a plurality of mobile devices, which are each assigned to at least one UWB anchor. The control device can obtain at least one collision mapping identifying, for a respective pair of the mobile devices, a collision probability that a UWB signal associated with a ranging procedure involving a first mobile device of the respective pair will collide with a UWB signal associated with a ranging procedure involving a second mobile device of the respective pair. The control device can establish a ranging schedule for the mobile devices and UWB anchors based on the respective UWB ranging priorities and the collision mapping(s). The control device can send at least one command to cause UWB ranging procedures to be performed according to the ranging schedule.

Prioritized scheduling for UWB ranging

Access Point ranging and placement on a floorplan may be provided. A host AP may range each neighbor AP of the host AP. One or more neighbor APs that failed ranging with the host AP may be categorized in a failed neighbor AP list. The host AP may re-range each of the one or more neighbor APs in the failed neighbor AP list with a modified ranging parameter. At least one neighbor AP of the one or more neighbor APs may be categorized in the failed neighbor AP list that succeeded in re-ranging with the host AP in an extended range neighbor AP list.

Access point (AP) ranging and placement on a floorplan

The present technology is directed to visualizing a Wi-Fi access point (AP) signal propagation pattern through multiple floors. The present technology can execute a Wi-Fi signal propagation model corresponding to a first AP on a first floor of a building plan and a second AP on a second floor of the building plan. The Wi-Fi signal propagation model calculates a Wi-Fi signal propagation pattern for a plurality of APs including the first AP and the second AP. The present technology can further present a visualization of the Wi-Fi signal propagation pattern for the plurality of APs, wherein the Wi-Fi signal propagation pattern for the first AP on the first floor of the building plan projects onto the second floor of the building plan.

This technology allows for determining the location of client devices via radio scanning for triggered orthogonal frequency-division multiple access ('OFDMA') uplinks. Access points (“APs”) are configured for OFDMA transmissions. A first AP transmits a trigger frame on particular channel to stations in the wireless network. Neighboring APs scan channels for trigger frames (“TF”). Upon detection of a TF, neighboring APs associate a station identifier with a frequency allocation, or resource unit, in the TF. The neighboring APs receive an OFDMA uplink from the stations, determine a received signal strength indicator (“RSSI”) value for each frequency allocation in the OFDMA uplink, and transmit the RSSI values with the associated station identifier to the first AP. The first AP determines the location of each station by mapping a distance value to the RSSI values.

Network traffic interference detection and management may be provided. An infringement event by an infringing Access Point (AP) on a Restricted Target Wake Time (rTWT) transmission opportunity (TxOp) associated with a victim AP may be detected, and information associated with the infringement event may be added to an infringement list, wherein the information includes a MAC address associated with the infringing AP. A controller, may receive the infringement list and notify the infringement event to the infringing AP. The infringing AP may determine whether a transmission associated with the infringement event is low latency and high priority. When the transmission is not low latency and high priority the infringing AP may modify future transmissions based on the notification. When the transmission is low latency and high priority the infringing AP may notify the controller that the transmission is low latency and high priority. The controller may then create a negotiation between the victim AP and the infringing AP, wherein the negotiation comprises managing future transmissions of the victim AP and the infringing AP.

Restricted target wait time interference detection and management

A system and a method to delegate out-of-band (OOB) management of a shared ultra-wideband (UWB) clock. The system may comprise a tagged device with a UWB tag and multiple anchors. The tagged device may be configured to establish at least one OOB communication link with at least one anchor, transmit UWB compatibility information to multiple anchors, establish a UWB communication links with the anchors, and exchange OOB synchronization parameters and UWB synchronization parameters with the anchors. Further, the tagged device may be configured to define new instructions for ranging round operations based at least in part upon the OOB synchronization parameters and the UWB synchronization parameters, update existing instructions with the new instructions in the ranging round operations, and perform the ranging round in accordance with the updated instructions.

Systems and methods to delegate out-of-band management of a shared ultra-wideband clock

The present technology is directed to providing a 3-D visualization of a Wi-Fi signal propagation pattern based on telemetry data. The present technology can receive telemetry data for a Wi-Fi access point located at a location of a building plan in a Wi-Fi visualization system, store the telemetry data with a timestamp, determine a change in a Wi-Fi coverage for the Wi-Fi access point based on the telemetry data, and present a visualization illustrating the change in the Wi-Fi coverage for the Wi-Fi access point. The present technology can further present an animation of the change in the Wi-Fi coverage for the Wi-Fi access point based on the stored telemetry data.
