A sheet of material that is marked with a pulsed laser, the sheet of material having an outer edge and an inner edge separated by a core. The distance from the outer edge to the inner edge is the sheet thickness. The sheet of material has a total concentration of TiOof less than about 1.00%. There is an exterior layer beginning at the outer edge and extending into the core, the thickness of the exterior layer is from about 10.00% to about 40.00% of the sheet thickness, and the exterior layer has an average concentration of from about 2.50% to about 10.00% TiO.

An aerosol container suitable for use as an aerosol dispenser. The aerosol container includes at least a valve and product delivery device joined to an outer container. The valve and product delivery device have respective annular welds or other seals joining the valve and product delivery to the outer container. The welds, or other seals may be concentric, with one circumscribing the other, in the same plane or different planes. Suitable product delivery devices include bags and dip tubes.

A method and apparatus of making an aerosol container. A polymeric container may be provided. The container may have a closed end bottom and a neck longitudinally opposed to the closed end bottom. The container has an internal container volume. A valve and a bag may be provided and a portion of the valve and the bag may be disposed within the container. The bag has a first bag volume. A portion of the at least one of the neck and the bag may contact a portion of the valve to form a temporary seal. Propellant may be introduced into the container. The bag may be collapsed from the first bag volume to a second bag volume. The pressure of the propellant and the pressure within the bag equilibrate. The valve may be joined to the container and the propellant may be sealed within the container.

Method of making an aerosol dispenser

A plural preform assembly having nested preforms. The preforms are held together by an interference fit. The interference fit is provided by the friction between the preforms which occurs when the inner preform is inserted into the outer preform. At least one preform may have ribs extending radially towards the other preform. The ribs provided concentricity and interference to hold the preforms together during subsequent operations. The preforms may later be blow molded to provide a bag in bottle or similar container.

Plural nested preform assembly and method of manufacture

An aerosol dispenser having a valve cup. The valve cup has an internal interlock, for attachment of a valve assembly thereto. A seal is disposed below the interlock. This arrangement provides the benefit that components of the dispenser may be inserted past the interlock, and still seal product therein under pressure. The interlock may comprise threads or a bayonet fitting. The valve cup may be injection molded as a preform.

Suitable welds include spin welds.

Method of making an aerosol dispenser having annular seals and method of making an aerosol container therefor

A pressurized container usable for a pressurizable contain, such as an aerosol dispenser, an aerosol dispenser made therewith and preform therefor. The preform/container/dispenser has a neck at the top. The neck has upper and lower portions. The lower portion transitions into a shoulder, which flares outwardly. The shoulder, in turn, transitions into a sidewall. The lower neck portion/shoulder and/or upper part of the sidewall are cystallized. The invention also comprises a preform for making such a pressurizable container and an aerosol dispenser made therewith.

An article of commerce includes a disposable cleaning article and a package. The package exhibits soft visual and sound characteristics. The package is formed as a multilayer packaging film including at least a co-extruded vapor barrier film layer and a polymeric film layer having a melting point at least about 20&#xb0; C. less than the co-extruded film layer. The polymeric film layer is sealable to form the package so as to enclose the disposable cleaning article, thereby to substantially retain the water content of the disposable cleaning article. The polymeric film layer further exhibits a corrected sound level of less than approximately 50 decibels at readily audible frequencies, such as 3-5 kHz. The reduced sound level may be achieved by providing a film with a high loss tangent. In addition, the multilayer packaging film may have an outer surface with a soft or 'matte' appearance.

Packaging and disposable article disposed therein

A flexible package for accommodating a multiplicity of articles, wherein the package comprises at least a side wall with an aperture defined by an aperture edge. The aperture provides a structure for gripping and for tearing away a tearaway portion of the side wall, defined by lines of weakness. The tearaway portion is adapted to create an opening in the side wall through which articles may be removed from the package. The package further includes a strap adjacent to an upper edge of the side wall and defined in part by a upper portion of the aperture edge.
