Presented herein are techniques for synchronizing a cloud service and a key management service via a single indirect synchronous message sent by a client device. In particular, a cloud service receives a service request message sent by a client device. Embedded into the service request message is an encrypted key management message. The cloud service is configured to extract the encrypted key management message from the service request message and then send the encrypted key management message to the key management service.

Synchronization of key management services with cloud services

A first data item is encrypted at a client device using a first encryption key. The encrypted first data item is included in a data object. A second encryption key is received at the client device from a key management device. The first encryption key is encrypted using the second encryption key. The encrypted first encryption key is included in the data object, and the data object is stored at a storage device.

Providing multiple levels of group access to partial data objects

A window insulating air bag includes a bag body presenting a perimetrical seam therearound and an adhesive strip extending continuously around the seam to secure and seal the air bag to the interior frame of the window. The bag body is formed of first and second layers of elastic thin plastic film, with the first layer being thinner than the second layer. This relationship presents a ballooning layer upon bag inflation adapted to engage the window's casing but spaced apart from the interior surface of the window. Preferably, the second layer has an air valve formed therein for inflation of the bag. Alternatively, the air bag is used with a conventional storm window having a rigid self supporting sheet of glass adapted to be secured to a window's exterior frame with the flexible air bag as discussed above secured to the window's interior frame.

Window insulating air bag

A fishing rod case formed from an elongated, cylindrical tube with opposed open ends is divided into longitudinal segments, by a continuous hinge and a cut offset therefrom. The cut has a tongue and a groove extending fully along opposing edges thereof for mating when the tube is closed about the hinge. Straps mounted on an exterior surface of the tube hold the tube in this closed condition. When so mated, the tongue and groove cannot disengage even if pressure is placed on the tube surface. Resiliently compressible retainers are arranged in spaced apart opposing pairs within the tube. Each of the retainers is contoured to fit snugly in its respective tube segment. An upper portion of the retainer extends beyond the diametric dividing plane. Each retainer has several slits therein longitudinally aligned with the tube and with corresponding ones of the slits in corresponding ones of the pairs of segments. The slits extend from the upper portion of the retainer toward the base portion to axes somewhat symmetrically disposed within the tube. A segment of the upper portions of each of the retainers proximate the hinge is reduced so that the slits are distorted away from the hinge when the tongue and groove are in the mated condition. This enhances the firm grip on the rods by the retainer. A pair of end caps are secured by straps over the ends of the tube when the tongue and groove are in the mated condition.

Fishing rod case

A counter-balanced sinker device for drift fishing or trolling comprising a tubular weight detachably affixed at one end to a flotation unit capable of holding said one end substantially vertically above the other end of such weight but incapable of lifting the entire weight, with means on the flotation unit to allow a fishing line to run freely therethrough. The device may be equipped with a weed or rocks deflector and with means to produce a fish-attracting noise when in use.
