The present invention relates to a labelling machine () for applying labels () to receptacles () comprising a web () having a succession of decorative patterns (); a cutting unit () configured to cut said web () so as to obtain individual labels (); a conveying means () configured to advance the individual labels (); a control unit () configured to control a positioning of the web () in relation to a reference station (); a determination device () configured to determine and/or detect a relative positioning of the decorative patterns () in relation to the reference station (); and a removal device () configured to remove incorrect labels () that are determined and/or detected as a function of the relative positioning of the decorative patterns () in relation to the reference station (). Labelling machine and method for applying labels

There is described a labelling machine for applying label sheets onto articles comprising: a web feeding unit for feeding a web of labelling material formed by a series of label sheets joined to each other; a label transfer device receiving said web from the web feeding unit at an input station and adapted to feed single label sheets to respective articles at an application station spaced apart from the input station; and a cutting device for cutting the web of labelling material into single label sheets; the label transfer device comprises a transfer conveyor adapted to retain the single label sheets and to release the single label sheets themselves on the articles at the application station; the transfer conveyor comprises a closed-loop transfer track and at least two label holders movable on the transfer track by means of a magnetic-inductive interaction.

The invention relates to a container handling machine () having at least one operative unit () comprising first support means () to support a base () of a filled and closed container (), second support means () cooperating with an end () of the container () opposite the base (), a plunger () selectively moved along its axis (E) to perform a deformation operation on the base () of the container () from a first swollen configuration to a second inwardly-retracted configuration, and actuator means () selectively activated to move the plunger () along its axis (E) between a first position, detached from the base () of the container (), and a second position, in which the plunger () defines the second configuration of the base (); the machine () further comprises a control unit () configured to selectively activate the actuator means () for moving the plunger () along its axis (E); the second support means () are maintained at a constant distance from the first support means () during the deformation operation; the control unit () comprises measuring means () for measuring the maximum deforming force (F) exerted by the plunger () on the base () of the container () during the deformation operation in order to determine whether the container () is correctly filled.

Container handling machine and method

A container handling machine having at least one operative unit is disclosed. The container handling machine includes a plunger configured to selectively move along a longitudinal axis and to deform a base of a container from a first swollen configuration to a second inwardly-retracted configuration, and an actuator configured to selectively move the plunger along the longitudinal axis between a first position, in which the plunger is detached from the base of the container, and a second position, in which the plunger deforms the base to the second configuration. The container handling machine further includes a control unit configured to selectively activate the actuator for producing a first stroke of the plunger along the longitudinal axis between the first position and the second position, in order to deform the base of the container.
