A refrigerator includes a cabinet coupled to one or more doors forming a storage compartment and an air purifying duct system positioned in the storage compartment. The air purifying duct system includes an air duct in fluid communication with the storage compartment; a fan configured to circulate air between the storage compartment and air duct; a photocatalyst disposed on a portion of the interior surface; one or more LEDs positioned to project light across the air duct and onto the photocatalyst; and an air circulation path configured to direct pathogens within the storage compartment into the air duct using the fan and circulate purified air into the storage compartment.

A fan assembly for use in an appliance provided with a housing including a first sidewall forming a first outlet and a second outlet, a fan disposed in the housing and configured to expel cooled air through the first outlet and the second outlet to a number of compartments of the appliance, a damper including an annular rim and a second sidewall extending from at least a portion of the annular rim, the damper configured to rotate to completely or partially cover the first outlet, the second outlet, or the first outlet and the second outlet, and a wiper including a main body disposed between the first sidewall and the second sidewall and configured to block the cooled air from traveling between the first sidewall and the second sidewall.

Appliance fan assembly

A fan assembly including a housing, an impeller, a first damper member, a second damper member, and an actuation assembly. The housing defining a number of outlets and the impeller being configured to rotate about a rotational axis to direct air towards the number of outlets. The first damper member at least partially extending circumferentially about the impeller and the second damper member at least partially extend circumferentially about the impeller. The actuation assembly is configured to selectively rotate the first damper member and/or the second damper member to partially block, completely block or completely open the number of outlets.

A sliding and connecting device configured to slidably secure a cabinet panel to an appliance door includes a rail element and a sliding element. The sliding element has a first flat portion and a second flat portion. The second flat portion has a first cross-sectional hollow profile and a second cross-sectional hollow profile intersecting the first cross-sectional hollow profile. Each of the first and second cross-sectional hollow profiles are configured to engage and slide along a matching cross-sectional profile formed on the rail element.

Built-in refrigerator

A refrigerator appliance includes a cabinet that defines first and second compartments. A fan assembly is configured to direct cooled air from a cooling assembly into the first and second compartments. The fan assembly includes a housing that defines an inlet, a first outlet, and a second outlet. The first outlet is in communication with the first compartment, and the second outlet is in communication with the second compartment. A fan is positioned within the housing and is configured to direct the cooled air from the inlet toward the first and second outlets. A damper assembly is configured to selectively obstruct one of the first outlet and the second outlet.

Cooling assembly for refrigerator appliance

A built-in assembly comprises a refrigerator or freezer configured for installation in a piece of kitchen furniture having a front panel hinged to a cabinet structure. The front panel is arranged at the refrigerating appliance door and linked thereto by means of at least one sliding and connecting device which comprises a rail and a cursor, wherein at least one of the rail and cursor is fully interposed between the front panel and the refrigerating appliance door so that it is hidden from view in its installed configuration.
