A sole structure for a shoe is provided with a regenerative midsole having an energy storage and release device is provided with a leaf spring assembly movable between a first unloaded position and a second loaded position. A locking linkage cooperates with the leaf spring assembly to lock the leaf spring assembly in the second loaded position. The locking linkage cooperates with the leaf spring assembly so that as the locking linkage is moved to a locked position, the leaf spring assembly is moved to the second loaded position. A trigger is connected to the locking linkage. Actuation of the locking linkage based on a wearer input releases the locking linkage to an unlocked position and allows the leaf spring assembly to move to the first unloaded position and thereby return stored energy to the wearer.

Articles of footwear and methods of making articles of footwear including one or more continuous threads wound around anchor points. In some embodiments, thread lines of continuous thread(s) may extend tangential to an opening on a thread pattern or an upper. In some embodiments, thread lines of continuous thread(s) may define a portion of an upper and extend through a sole for an article of footwear. In some embodiments, thread patterns defined by the continuous thread(s) may be bonded to each other around a sheet to form an upper material for an upper.

Articles of footwear comprising a wound component and methods of making the same

Methods for manufacturing at least a portion of an upper for an article of footwear that include thermo-forming a pattern on the upper. The methods may include disposing a skin for forming an upper over and inflatable bladder and disposing a mold insert between the skin and a surface of a mold cavity. The mold insert may include a mold pattern including surface features formed in the mold insert. The inflatable bladder may be inflated such that the skin is pressed against the mold insert within a heated mold cavity to form a pattern on an exterior surface of the skin and cause the skin to take on the shape of at least a portion of an upper. In some embodiments, the surface features may be disposed in a gradient pattern configured to provide varying degrees of one or more characteristics to different areas of an upper.

A sole for an article of footwear includes an outsole that has longitudinal ribs and a midsole that is disposed above the outsole and that defines notches. The longitudinal ribs are disposed in the notches.

Soles for articles of footwear with a three-dimensional mesh having a bottom surface defined at least partially by a plurality of nodes having a platform with a top platform surface connected to a bottom platform surface with a side surface a plurality of struts for the three-dimensional mesh directly connected to the top platform surface. An article of footwear including an upper, a midsole, a lateral stabilizing rail, and a medial stabilizing rail. The lateral stabilizing rail may be coupled to the upper and the midsole and extend from a forefoot portion of the article of footwear to a heel portion of the article of footwear. The medial stabilizing rail may be coupled to the upper and the midsole and extend from the forefoot portion of the article of footwear to the heel portion of the article of footwear. The lateral stabilizing rail and the medial stabilizing rail may be separate pieces capable deforming independently of each other.
