A method includes receiving, by a recording device, an indication of an initializing time and receiving, by the recording device, an indication of a timing pace. The method also includes maintaining, by the recording device, an updated current time based on the initializing time and the timing pace and sensing, via a sensor of the recording device, a condition. The method further includes storing, in memory of the recording device, an indication of the condition and an associated indication of the updated current time. The indication of the updated current time corresponds to when the condition was sensed by the sensor.

Clock for recording devices

A rotary fader apparatus includes a fader control knob that is directly attached to the rotor of a non-contact electrical motor. The apparatus may produce a fade effect based on the rotational position of the fader control knob and may be automated through signals to the motor. Such a rotary fader apparatus may be used, for example, in audio mixing applications to provide automated or manual rotary control of track fading. The motor may also be used to alter the feel of the movement of the fader control knob and/or provide tactile feedback in response to mixing parameters or signal properties.

Non-contact rotary fader

Methods and devices are provided for a wireless microphone network whereby robustness for reception of audio information transmitted by one or more wireless microphones is enhanced. The system incorporates a dual stage approach for collecting, transmitting and receiving audio information. In the first stage, audio information collected by one or more microphone modules is transmitted to a series of receiver base stations. In the second stage, information received at each base station is subsequently transmitted to a receiver hub that selects, blends and/or augments the information to produce a high quality representation for audio information that provides improved robustness and reliability with respect to the movement, physical placement or performance of each microphone module.

Network system for reliable reception of wireless audio

Methods and devices are provided for a wireless microphone network whereby robustness for reception of audio information transmitted by one or more wireless microphones is enhanced. A linear fader includes a slider that is configured to slide along a rail. The slider includes a magnet. The linear fader also includes a plurality of coils spaced along a length of the rail, one or more sensors configured to detect a position of the slider along the rail, and control circuitry operatively coupled to the plurality of coils and the one or more sensors. The control circuitry is configured to receive a signal corresponding to a first location of the slider from at least one of the one or more sensors, receive a desired location of the slider, and cause a first electrical current to pass through the plurality of coils, thereby generating a force on the slider in a direction toward the desired location.

Magnetic linear fader

A system and method for performing microphone gating operations, is disclosed. The system and method include a transmitter configured to emit a transmit signal towards an object and a receiver configured to receive a reflected signal from the object, the reflected signal corresponding to the transmit signal. The system and method also include a controller configured to instruct the transmitter to emit the transmit signal and receive the reflected signal from the receiver. The controller is further configured to detect motion of the object based upon the reflected signal and turn a microphone on or off based upon the motion of the object.

Motion detection for microphone gating

A multi-stage analog-to-digital conversion method and system use window functions and translation to match high gain frames of data to target frames of data. The technique selects window data packets for the output stream based the stage of data having the highest gain satisfying selection criteria, such as requiring a frame of data for the respective stage to satisfy a predetermined accuracy of fit value compared to a target frame of data for a zero gain stage.
