Techniques are described that facilitate remotely interfacing with a vehicle touchscreen. According to an embodiment, a method is provided comprising determining touch controls included in a GUI configured for displaying on a touchscreen of the vehicle, wherein the touch controls provide for controlling functions of the vehicle based on first interaction with the touch controls as displayed on the touchscreen. The method further comprises generating a representation of the GUI for display via an auxiliary display of the auxiliary device, the representation comprising one or more graphical controls corresponding to one or more touch controls of the touch controls, and enabling remote control of one or more functions of the functions of the vehicle by the auxiliary device based on second interaction with the one or more graphical controls as displayed via the auxiliary display.

Remotely controlling vehicle touchscreen controls

Techniques are described for interacting with a vehicle touchscreen. According to one or more embodiments, a system is provided comprising a processor that executes computer executable components stored in at least one memory, including a display control component that selects graphical touch controls to include in a graphical user interface (GUI) for rendering on the touchscreen based on activation of a haptic feedback mode for interfacing with the touchscreen, wherein the graphical touch controls correspond to controls for one or more applications or functions associated with the vehicle. The system further comprising a positioning component that determines a location of a finger on or over the touchscreen relative to the graphical touch controls as displayed on the touchscreen, and a haptic feedback component that causes a vibration unit of the vehicle to provide vibration feedback based on the location corresponding to a graphical touch control of the graphical touch controls.

Facilitating interaction with a vehicle touchscreen using haptic feedback

Techniques are described for remotely controlling functions of a vehicle without an integrated touchscreen. According to an embodiment, an auxiliary device is provided comprising a display and a processor that executes computer executable components stored in at least one memory. The computer executable component can comprise a feature acquisition component that determines electronic features of the vehicle that are respectively controlled by electromechanical controls of the vehicle, and a display component that displays a graphical user interface via the display wherein the graphical user interface comprises one or more graphical controls for controlling one or more features of the electronic features of the vehicle. The computer executable components further comprising a remote-control component that remotely controls the one or more features via interaction with the one or more graphical controls as rendered via the display.

Remotely controlling electronic functions of a vehicle without an integrated touchscreen

A control unit configured to control at least one motor of a vehicle is described that perform operations including receiving a target torque and a target speed for controlling the at least one motor, and determining, based on the target speed, a critical speed zone of the at least one motor. The critical speed zone defines a particular torque input to the at least one motor that induces torque ripple when the at least one motor is operating at any of a range of motor speeds. The operations performed by the control unit further include determining whether a current speed of the at least one motor is within the critical speed zone, and while determining that the current speed is within the critical speed zone, controlling a torque input to the at least one motor by avoiding the particular torque input defined by the critical speed zone.

Electric motor control for preventing torque ripple

A drive module with a first input, which receives rotary power from a first power source, and a second input that receives rotary power from a second power source. Rotary power from the first power source is transmitted to a differential assembly to drive a pair of vehicle wheels. Rotary power is selectively provided by the second power source to provide the drive module with torque-vectoring capabilities in which equal but opposite moments are applied to the vehicle wheels. The axes of the first input and the second input are parallel one another.

The present teachings provide for a vehicle drive module including a housing, an electric motor, a transmission gear set, a differential assembly, and a pair of output members. The transmission gear set can transmit rotary power between a motor output shaft and an output of the transmission gear set. The differential assembly can include a case, a pair of pinion gears, and a pair of side gears. Each of the side gears can be meshingly engaged with the pair of pinion gears. Each output member can include a driven body and an outer flange. The driven body can have a first end drivingly coupled to one of the side gears. The outer flange can have a first side that is releasably coupled to the second end of the driven body, and a second side that is adapted to be releasably coupled to a constant velocity joint.

A coupling device and a coupling mechanism is provided for selectively coupling of an electric drive to a wheel axle of a vehicle. The coupling device includes, but is not limited to an output gear connected to the wheel axle, an input gear connected to the electric motor. A synchronizer is adapted to contactlessly minimize a difference of the input gear's and the output gear's angular velocity below a predefined threshold, and a synchronizing member is adapted to frictionally engage with the input gear and/or with the output gear when the difference in angular velocity of input gear and output gear is below the predefined threshold.

Coupling and synchronizing device for electric drive modules

A drive unit, more preferably rear drive unit, for an all-wheel drive of a motor vehicle with two drive shafts, of which one drive shaft serves for driving the one wheel and the other drive shaft serves for driving the other wheel of a motor vehicle. Provided is a transmission operationally that is connected to the drive shafts, through which a drive torque acting on the input of the transmission can be divided or is divided into at least two output torques and through which the output torque of the transmission acting on the one drive shaft is reversible or is reversed in its operation direction relative to the output torque of the transmission acting on the other drive shaft.
