An acoustical window assembly for a vehicle includes a window panel and mounting portions for mounting respective perimeter regions of the window panel to a vehicle structure. A first mounting portion substantially fixedly mounts a first perimeter region of the window panel relative to the vehicle structure, while a second mounting portion mounts a second perimeter region of the window panel to the vehicle structure and includes a flexible element to allow for movement of the second perimeter region of the window panel toward and away from the vehicle structure. An actuating assembly is positioned at an actuating region of the window panel and has a substantially rigid interface element that engages the actuating region of the window panel. The actuating assembly is operable to vibrate the window panel via vibration of the substantially rigid interface element relative to the vehicle structure.

The device includes a first strip () to be attached to the first surface of the membrane in the edge area, and a second strip () to be attached to a surface of a frame portion extending around the opening. An exchanging number () is arranged between and connecting the first strip with the second strip. An actuating member () is arranged to transfer a reciprocating primary movement to the exchanging member converting the primary movement to a reciprocating secondary movement, which has a longer length of stroke than the primary movement and acts on the strips to move towards and away from each other.

The motor vehicle includes a support structure, which is mounted in the vehicle, and a steering wheel, which is rotatably connected to the support structure. The device includes a control unit and a sensor device, which is connected to the control unit. The sensor device is adapted to sense vibrations in the steering wheel and to provide a sensor signal related to the sensed vibrations. An actuator device is connected to the control unit and adapted to influence vibrations in the vehicle. The control unit is adapted to control the actuator device, with regard to the sensor signal, to act on the vehicle in such a way that a desired vibration character in the steering wheel is obtained.

The invention refers to a device for sound control in a space () with a sound field from at least one sound source (). The device includes a pulse sensor (), which provides a pulse signal from the sound source (). Moreover, the device includes a number of sound influencing members () for reducing the sound field in the space () and a number of sound sensors (), which sense the actual sound field in the space and provide an error signal. A control unit includes a signal supplied device (), which receives a pulse signal and supplies a first signal to an adaptive filter (). The filter has a number of filter coefficients and generates a drive signal for each sound influencing member (). The signals supply device also supplies second signals to a calculating member (), which calculates the value of the filter coefficients by the second signals and the error signals for updating the adaptive filter (). A detecting member detects phase and frequency of the pulse signal and a coefficient table provides two sets of coefficients for generating the second signals from detected phase and frequency of the pulse signal.
