It is provided a location determiner comprising: a first antenna; a radio signal modification device, wherein the radio signal modification device is configured to improve an ability to determine whether the portable key device is located on a back side or on a front side of the location determiner, based on obtaining a channel impulse response, CIR, of an impulse signal transmitted from the portable key device, wherein the location determiner is installable such that the back side is in a space being restricted by selectively unlockable a physical barrier and the front side is opposite the back side.

It is provided a lock assembly comprising: a striking plate assembly comprising an aperture and a magnetometer arranged in proximity of the aperture; a bolt being displaceable to enable movement through the aperture of the striking plate assembly, the bolt comprising a magnet; and a sensor device for detecting proximate presence of an object, wherein the sensor device is configured to power up the magnetometer when the sensor device detects proximate presence of an object; wherein the lock assembly is configured to detect, using the magnetometer and magnet when the bolt is in a protruded position through the aperture.

It is provided a method for determining when a portable key device is located on a front side or on a back side in relation to a barrier secured by an electronic lock. The method is performed in a location determiner and comprises the steps of: obtaining a channel impulse response, CIR, based on an impulse signal transmitted from the portable key device, the CIR being based on a plurality of samples of the impulse signal as received by an antenna being fixedly mounted in relation to the electronic lock; and determining, based on the CIR, whether the portable key device is located on the front side or on the back side.

It is provided a method for determining whether a portable key device is located inside or outside a metal door. The method is performed by a credential communication device and comprises the steps of: obtaining a first time-of-flight, ToF, measurement between a first antenna and the portable key device, wherein the first antenna is located on the outside of the metal door; obtaining a second ToF measurement between a second antenna and the portable key device, wherein the second antenna is located on the inside of the metal door; and determining the portable key device to be located on the outside of the metal door when the first ToF measurement is less than the second ToF measurement by an amount which is greater than a threshold value.

It is provided a sensor device comprising: a proximity sensor (); a processor (); a wireless communication module (); and a memory (). When the sensor device is in a first functional state () and the proximity sensor detects a predetermined change in its proximity, the sensor device is configured to transition from the first functional state, in which wireless communication is inactivated, to a second functional state (), in which wireless communication module is enabled. The predetermined change in its proximity is a removal of transport protection, comprising removal of a metallic tape over the proximity sensor, whereby the proximity sensor is capable to detect the removal of the metallic tape based on inductive sensing.

A method is provided for controlling an operational state of a sensor device for break-in detection. The method is performed in the sensor device and comprises the steps of: determining, while in a low-power state, that a wake-up condition is true when a vibration measurement associated with a barrier is greater than a wake-up threshold; transitioning, when the wake-up condition is true, to an active state; determining, while in the active state, when an activity condition is true, the activity condition being based on vibration measurements associated with the barrier; increasing the wake-up threshold, and transitioning to the low-power state when the activity condition is not determined to be true within a first duration while in the active state; and decreasing the wake-up threshold, when the sensor device stays in the low-power state longer than a second duration.

It is provided a barrier assembly for determining an extent of opening of an openable barrier. The barrier assembly comprises the openable barrier and barrier frame around the openable barrier; a magnet, a magnetic sensor and a status monitoring device. One of the magnet and the magnetic sensor is provided in the barrier and the other of the magnet and the magnetic sensor is provided in the barrier frame; and the status monitoring device is configured to determine an extent of opening of the openable barrier based on a direction of a magnetic field detected by the magnetic sensor.

It is provided an electronic lock for selectively locking a barrier to a surrounding structure. The electronic lock comprises: a locking bolt, a housing comprising metallic material, wherein the housing comprises a through-hole through which the locking bolt can pass; and a wireless communication module. The housing comprises a cut-out forming a slot antenna, wherein the wireless communication module is connected to the housing and thus the slot antenna. The slot antenna is formed on the same surface of the housing through which the locking bolt can pass.

It is provided a method for determining when a break-in attempt is in process. The method is performed in a break-in determiner and comprises the steps of: determining that a first vibration condition is tme when a vibration parameter associated with a barrier is greater than a first threshold, wherein the first vibration parameter is obtained from measurements from an accelerometer; determining whether an acceptable activity condition is tme or not, such that the acceptable activity condition is true only when there is an auxiliary signal indicating acceptable activity comprising determining that the acceptable activity condition is tme only when a time difference between determining that the first vibration condition is true and receiving the auxiliary signal is less than a threshold duration; and determining that a break-in attempt is in process when the first vibration condition is tme and the acceptable activity condition is false.

It is presented a portable access control communication device comprising: a housing for protecting a key device, the access control communication device; a socket arranged to hold a blade of a key device, the socket comprising a connector for communication with the key device; a cellular radio communication module; and a controller. The controller is arranged to communicate, using the cellular radio communication module, with an access control device over a cellular communication network when a key device is provided in the socket such that there is electric contact between the key device and the socket. It is presented an access control communication device comprising: a short distance radio communication module; a cellular radio communication module; and a controller arranged to communicate access rights associated with a key device, using the cellular radio communication module, with an access control device over a cellular communication network, the communicating comprising sending a request for access management data associated with the lock device, and receiving access management data associated with the lock device; and the controller further being arranged to transmit the access management data to the key device for transfer to the lock device, the communicating and transmitting being arranged to be performed upon the access control device being in communication with the key device using the short distance radio communication module. The mechanical interface comprises a connector for powering the lock device and for communication with the lock device such that the lock device is able to perform electronic access control using the key device. The key device further comprises a clock; a memory; a radio communication module; and a controller arranged to, using the radio communication module communicate online with an access control device and use the memory as temporary storage for offline communication between the access control device and one or more lock devices.
