A method performed by a first node () managing a P-CSCF in a first communications network (). The method is for handling identification of a second communications network (). One of the communications networks is a home network and the other is a visited network. The first node () obtains () a unique identifier uniquely identifying the second communications network () in a plurality of networks () sharing a Mobile Network identifier. The unique identifier is based on: a) an MCC and an MNC, corresponding to a shared PLMN identifier, and b) a subscriber identifier corresponding to the second network (). The first node () also processes () provision of an IMS service across the communications networks, to a device () operating in the visited network, based on the identifier. The processing () comprises, in the home network, one of: i) application of a policy or rule, and ii) routing a communication to a S-CSCF.Publ.

A method for a primary user device of a spectrum license used for allowing radio communication in a wireless communication network covering a local area to which the spectrum license is limited, wherein the method comprises: providing at least one spectrum compliance probe within the local area; detecting, using the at least one spectrum compliance probe, within the local area one or both of (i) a first interference caused by a first signal originating from within the local area, wherein the first interference is not allowed by the spectrum license, and (ii) a second interference caused by a second signal originating from outside the local area, wherein the second interference is not allowed by the spectrum license; and controlling the radio communication in response to said detection.

Methods and systems for spectrum license management

Mechanisms are provided for channel reconfiguration in a communications network where shared spectrum from a primary incumbent is used. A method is performed by a network node, which comprises obtaining RSSI measurements on the current channel from wireless devices. The wireless devices are served by the network node at a current channel in a current frequency interval within a frequency band. When the RSSI measurements trigger a need for the network node to perform channel reconfiguration, the network node selects a new channel based on RSSI measurements that it itself performs. The method comprises selecting a new channel in a new or the same frequency interval, in a new or the same frequency band, for serving the wireless devices based on RSSI measurements performed by the network node, and channel reconfiguration for the wireless devices is performed.

According to some embodiments, a method for use in a first spectrum access system (SAS) server of authorizing spectrum access comprises: receiving, from a second SAS, information about one or more priority access license (PAL) protection areas (PPAs) served by the second SAS; receiving a spectrum grant request on behalf of one of a first PPA or a first general authorized access (GAA) user; determining whether granting the spectrum grant request may interfere with a second PPA geographically proximate the one of the first PPA or the first GAA user, wherein the second PPA is served by the second SAS; and granting or denying the spectrum grant request based at least in part on the interference determination. The interference determination may comprise modeling the radio environment within the second PPA and surrounding areas based on the spectrum grant request to determine whether an aggregate interference level exceeds a threshold.

A method and apparatus for allocating resources of a cell served by a base station among a plurality of operators sharing the cell resources are disclosed. One embodiment is a method including receiving from a central node serving at least the base station, a resource allocation request instructing the base station to reallocate the cell resources among the plurality of operators. The method further includes allocating cell resources among the plurality of operators according to the resource allocation request received from the central node.

According to a first aspect there is provided a method of operating an entity of a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). The method comprises receiving a Media Access Control (MAC) address for a device that is attempting to associate with the WLAN (S), and determining if an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) associated with the MAC address is stored in the WLAN (S). A method and system for reporting cell resource utilization associated with a plurality of operators sharing resources of a cell are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes associating each of a plurality of operators with a different one of a plurality of public land mobile networks, PLMNs. A system and method for detecting cooperation or conflict between actors in a network made up of self-organizing sub-networks examines parameters such as performance indicators and configuration parameters to determine whether or not different actors are adjusting configuration parameters in a way that is cooperative or conflicting.
