A reactor includes a reactor vessel and one or more reaction tubes A number of tube sections of the one or more reaction tubes in each case run between a first region and a second region in the reactor vessel. For the electrical heating of the tube sections, the tube sections in the first region can be electrically connected to (a) current connection(s) of a current source. In the first region, current feed arrangements are provided; in each case one or in each case one group of the tube sections are electrically connected, and each comprise (a) contact passage(s) that in each case adjoin(s) at least one of the tube sections in the first region. A wall of the contact passages in each case is connected to a current feed element that has a rod-shaped section that runs at a wall passage through a wall of the reactor vessel.

Reactor and method for carrying out a chemical reaction

Producing a product hydrocarbon includes subjecting a feed mixture containing a feed hydrocarbon and oxygen to selective oxidation to obtain a product mixture containing product hydrocarbon and water. A subsequent mixture is formed from a portion of the product mixture by separating a portion of the water. Oxygen in the feed mixture is partially converted during the selective oxidation, so that the product mixture has a first residual oxygen content and the subsequent mixture has a second residual oxygen content. Detection of the first and/or the second residual oxygen content is performed using a first measuring device. A second measuring device at the end of the catalyst bed detects temperature. Using a process control and/or evaluation unit, measurement data of the first and/or second measuring device(s) are detected and are evaluated and/or processed while obtaining follow-up data. Process control is carried out on the basis of the follow-up data.

Process and system for producing a product hydrocarbon

A reactor has a reactor vessel and one or more reaction tubes. One or more power input elements are guided into the reactor vessel for the electrical heating of the reaction tube(s). The one or more power input elements each have a rod-shaped section, and the rod-shaped section(s) each run in a respective wall passage through a wall of the reactor vessel. A connection chamber into which the rod-shaped section(s) project is arranged outside the reactor vessel and adjacent to the wall of the reactor vessel through which the rod-shaped section(s) run in their wall passages. Gas feed means apply an inerting gas to the connection chamber, and the wall passages with the rod-shaped sections received therein in a longitudinally-movable manner are designed to be gas-permeable so that at least a portion of the inerting gas fed into the connection chamber flows out into the reactor vessel.

A reactor for carrying out a chemical reaction has a reactor vessel, one or more reaction tubes and means for the electrical heating of the one or more reaction tubes. The reactor vessel has one or more discharge orifices which are permanently open or are set up to open above a preset pressure level, and gas feed means are provided, which are set up to feed an inerting gas into an interior of the reactor vessel.

A reactor has a reactor vessel and a reaction tube. Tube sections of the reaction tube run inside the reactor vessel. The tube sections are each electrically connectable to a current connection in a current feed region. Current feed arrangements are arranged in the current feed region to which in each case one or one group of the tube sections is electrically connected. Each current feed arrangement has a first and a second section, the first section extending along a longitudinal axis starting from the respective or group of tube section(s). The first section at least partially surrounds the second section or the second section surrounds the first section in a sleeve-like manner. The first and second sections each have contact surfaces arranged obliquely to the longitudinal axis. The current feed arrangements each extend through a wall of the reactor vessel.

The invention relates to a method for producing one or more olefins and one or more carboxylic acids, in which one or more paraffins is or are subjected to an oxidative dehydrogenation. For the oxidative dehydrogenation, a reactor () having a plurality of reaction zones () is used, a gas mixture comprising the one or more paraffins is successively passed through the reaction zones (), and at least two of the reaction zones () are subject to varying temperature influences. The invention also relates to a corresponding system ().

Method and system for producing one or more olefins and one or more carboxylic acids

A process () is proposed for the production of one or more olefins, in which a reaction feed containing oxygen and one or more paraffins is formed and in which a part of the oxygen in the reaction feed is reacted with a part of the one or more paraffins to form the one or more olefins by an oxidative process, to obtain a process gas, the process gas containing at least the unreacted part of the one or more paraffins and oxygen, the one or more olefins, one or more acetylenes, carbon dioxide and water. The process comprises subjecting the process gas or a gas mixture formed using at least a part of the process gas partially or completely to a condensate separation (), a compression (), an at least partial removal () of the oxygen and acetylene(s) and to one or more stages of a carbon dioxide removal () in the order given herein, wherein the at least partial removal () of the oxygen and of the acetylene(s) is performed at the same time and by a catalytic conversion using a catalyst comprising copper oxide or ruthenium, and wherein the catalytic conversion is performed at least in part in the form of a hydrogenation. A corresponding plant is also the subject of the present invention.

Method and system for producing one or more olefins

In a process as disclosed according to the present invention, gases or gas mixtures used to form a reactant mixture in an at least temporarily ignitable composition are fed into a mixing chamber () through the passages () in a boundary wall () of the mixing chamber () and by means of one or more feed conduits () which have feed orifices () and extend into the mixing chamber (), respectively. The present invention likewise provides a corresponding reactor ().

Method and system for forming and for catalytically reacting a reactant mixture&#x2014;embodiment of the reactor

A process for producing one or more olefins is proposed in which a reaction input containing one or more paraffins is formed and in which a portion of the paraffin(s) present in the reaction input is converted by oxidative dehydrogenation into the olefin(s) to obtain a process gas, wherein the process gas contains at least the olefin(s), the unconverted paraffin(s), oxygen and carbon monoxide and wherein at least a portion of the process gas is subjected to a low temperature separation in which at an operating pressure level one or more gas fractions enriched in oxygen and carbon monoxide compared to the process gas are formed. It is provided that in the low temperature separation in the formation and/or for the conduction of the or at least one of the gas fractions one or more containers and/or one or more conduits having a burst pressure of at least ten times the operating pressure level are used and that the container or at least one of the containers via the or at least one of the conduits is connected to one or more heat exchangers, wherein a total length of the or of the at least one conduit between the or the at least one container and the heat exchanger(s) is not more than fifty times the internal diameter of said conduit. A corresponding plant () likewise forms part of the subject matter of the invention.

Method and system for producing olefins

A process for producing ethylene and acetic acid is proposed in which an ethane- and oxygen-containing reaction input stream is formed and a portion of the ethane and of the oxygen in the reaction input stream is converted into the ethylene and the acetic acid by oxidative dehydrogenation to obtain a process gas, wherein the process gas contains the unconverted portion of the ethane and of the oxygen, the ethylene and the acetic acid and also water. It is provided that the process comprises adjusting in the process gas a water partial pressure according to a specified product ratio of the acetic acid to the ethylene to a value in a range between 0.7 and 5 bar (abs.). A corresponding plant () likewise forms part of the subject matter of the present invention.

Process and plant for producing ethylene and acetic acid

The invention relates to a process for producing an olefin in which a reaction input stream containing at least one paraffin, oxygen and water is formed and in which a portion of the paraffin and of the oxygen in the reaction input stream is converted into the olefin by oxidative dehydrogenation using a catalyst to obtain a process gas, wherein the process gas contains at least the unconverted portion of the paraffin and of the oxygen, the olefin and the water from the reaction input stream. It is provided that at least one parameter which indicates an activity of the catalyst is determined and that an amount of the water in the reaction input stream is adjusted on the basis of the at least one determined parameter. Process and plant for producing an olefin

A process for producing an olefin having N carbon atoms is proposed in which using a dehydrogenation a process gas is formed which contains at least the olefin having N carbon atoms, a paraffin having N carbon atoms and a hydrocarbon having N&#x2212;1 carbon atoms and in which using at least a portion of the process gas a separation input is formed which is subjected to a low temperature separation in which the separation input is cooled stepwise over a plurality of temperature levels and condensates are separated from the separation input, wherein the condensates are at least partly subjected to a first low temperature rectification to obtain a first gas fraction and a first liquid fraction, wherein the first gas fraction contains at least the olefin having N carbon atoms in a lower proportion than in the condensates and the hydrocarbon having N&#x2212;1 in a higher proportion than in the condensates. It is provided that the first gas fraction is at least partly subjected to a second low temperature rectification using a liquid reflux containing predominantly or exclusively the hydrocarbon having N&#x2212;1 carbon atoms in which the first gas fraction undergoes depletion in the olefin having N carbon atoms. A corresponding plant () likewise forms part of the subject matter of the invention.

A process for producing ethylene is proposed in which an ethane- and oxygen-containing reaction input is formed and a portion of the ethane and of the oxygen in the reaction input is converted into ethylene and into acetic acid by oxidative dehydrogenation to obtain a process gas, wherein the process gas contains the unconverted portion of the ethane and of the oxygen, the ethylene and the acetic acid and also water and wherein the process gas is subjected to a water quench. It is provided that the water quench comprises introducing the process gas into a scrubbing column () into which in at least two different column portions respective aqueous, liquid scrubbing medium streams are introduced and run in countercurrent to the process gas. A corresponding plant () likewise forms part of the subject matter of the invention.
