A coil unit for an electric vehicle for the inductive transfer of electrical energy between the coil unit and a stationary charging station. The coil unit includes at least one coil and a flux guide unit for guiding a magnetic flux occurring during operation of the coil. Also disclosed is an electric vehicle having a coil unit for the inductive transfer of electrical energy between a secondary coil of the coil unit and a primary coil of a charging station. The disclosed coil solves the problem of allowing the safe use of the inductive electrical energy transfer in electric vehicles, in particular motor vehicles, by proposing a coil unit, in which the flux guide unit has material weakenings, and an electric vehicle having such a coil unit.

A device for the inductive transfer of electrical energy between a stationary coil, which can be installed in a roadway, and a secondary coil of a movable electrical load, in particular of an electrical vehicle, wherein a supply unit for supplying electrical energy is allocated to the coil. The problem of providing a maintenance-friendly, reliable, operationally secure device for inductive transfer of electrical energy, which is protected against penetration of water into the sensitive electronics, is solved in that the supply unit is arranged on a side of the coil facing away from the roadway in an installed state in a housing which is closed on top and laterally, having a housing opening open to the bottom.

In a method for detecting an electrically conductive foreign body at a device for inductively transmitting electrical energy from a stationary unit having an electrical power supply unit and a primary inductor to a mobile unit having a secondary inductor and an electric load, electrical power is initially fed from the electrical power supply unit into the primary inductor and the feed-in is interrupted. The curve over time of the resulting decay of an electrical operating variable of the primary inductor is measured and at least one parameter of the measured curve is compared with a corresponding parameter of a reference curve in the event of an interruption of the power feed-in into the primary inductor without the presence of an electrically conductive foreign body. The comparison is used to determine whether an electrically conductive foreign body is present in the region of the magnetic field produced by the primary inductor.

An apparatus for inductively transmitting electrical energy from a stationary unit to a mobile unit which is located adjacent to the stationary unit. The apparatus has a coil and a flux guide unit for guiding a magnetic flux occurring during operation of the apparatus with at least one ferromagnetic body, which consists of a multiplicity of individual elements. The flux guide unit has the basic shape of a plate and is arranged on one side of the coil perpendicular to the winding axis thereof in such a way that it covers the cross-sectional area of the coil at least partially. The ferromagnetic body includes individual elements with anisotropic magnetic permeability and has, overall, anisotropic magnetic permeability. In a viewing plane perpendicular to the winding axis of the coil, the individual elements of the ferromagnetic body are aligned with respect to the coil in those regions in which a ferromagnetic body with anisotropic permeability covers winding sections of the coil, in such a way that the preferred direction of magnetic permeability, in which the magnetic permeability has its greatest magnitude in the viewing plane, is at least approximately perpendicular to the winding sections of the coil.

Apparatus for inductively transmitting electrical energy

A device for the inductive transmission of electrical energy having a coil which can be inductively coupled to another coil for energy transmission; a power electronic unit for drawing electrical power from the coil or for outputting electrical power into the coil; and a feedline connecting the coil to the power electronic unit. The feedline includes at least two multi-conductor cables with conductors which are insulated from one another and the connection of each terminal of the coil to a respectively assigned terminal of the power electronic unit includes a plurality of conductors of the multi-conductor cables. Each terminal of the coil is preferably connected to the respectively assigned terminal of the power electronic unit by conductors of at least two different cables and the same number of conductors of each individual cable connect each terminal of the coil to the respectively assigned terminal of the power electronic unit.

A device for inductive transfer of electric energy from a stationary unit including at least one primary inductance to a vehicle that is adjacent to the unit and has at least one secondary inductance. The stationary unit has a device for detecting the presence of an electrically conductive object in a predetermined area that borders the primary inductance. The area can be between the primary and secondary inductance during the inductive energy transfer. The device has at least one measuring inductance, a measuring unit for measuring the impedance of the measuring inductance and an evaluation unit connected to the measuring unit. Preferably, the device is equipped with a plurality of measuring inductances which form a regular two-dimensional arrangement extending approximately in one plane, the plane lying perpendicular to the main direction of the magnetic field that is generated by the primary inductance during operation.

The invention relates to a device for the inductive transfer of electric energy from a stationary unit that has at least two similar primary inductances (-) to a vehicle () standing adjacent to said unit. The primary inductances (-) of the stationary unit can be supplied with electrical current independently of one another and the current supply can be individually activated or deactivated by a central control unit (). Preferably, the device is equipped with a uniform two-dimensional arrangement (-A-A) of a plurality of primary inductances that are similar to one another and are in the form of a rectangular matrix (-). Either a dedicated output of a central current supply unit or a dedicated current supply unit (-) is assigned to each primary inductance. The invention relates to a device for the inductive transfer of electric energy from a stationary unit comprising at least one primary inductance to a vehicle that is adjacent to said unit and has at least one second inductance. The stationary unit or the vehicle has a device for detecting the presence of an object in a predetermined area that covers at least the area lying between the primary inductance and the second inductance during the inductive energy transfer. The detection device has at least one contactless sensor and an evaluation unit that is connected to the sensor. At least the sensor of the detection device is integrated into or mounted on the same housing as the primary or secondary coil of the energy transfer device. The sensor can be an ultrasonic sensor, radar sensor, infra-red sensor or an electric image sensor.

The invention relates to a device for inductively transmitting electrical energy to displaceable consumers (F-F) that can be moved along a track, having a primary conductor arrangement () divided into route segments (-) that are electrically separated from each other, and extending along the track, wherein individual route segments (-) are each associated with at least one current source (-) for imprinting a continuous current into each of the route segments (-), and to a corresponding method. The aim of the invention is to supply the displaceable consumers in an energy-saving manner with electric energy matched to demand, and to allow short reaction times when operating the device. This aim is achieved by providing the device with a means () for determining the total power of the displaceable consumers (F-F) present in each of the individual route segments (-) and with a means () for actuating the current sources (-) for applying the electrical continuous current corresponding to the total power required for each route segment (-), or by determining, according to the method, the required total power of the displaceable consumers (F-F) present in each route segment and applying an electrical continuous current to each route segment (-) by means of the associated current source (-), said current corresponding to the total power required therein.

Device and method for inductively transmitting electric energy to displaceable consumers

A device for inductively transmitting electrical energy to at least one mobile load, with at least one primary conductor that extends along a designated path of the load in the form of a conductor loop and from which a secondary conductor arranged on the load is able to draw electrical energy. At least two conductor loops are provided that are electrically separated from one another and respectively assigned to different segments of the path. The conductor loops are arranged relative to one another so that electrical energy intended for the load can be transmitted from a first conductor loop to at least a second conductor loop due to inductive coupling between the conductor loops. A section of the second conductor loop that is inductively coupled contains a larger number of windings than that of the first conductor loop. The second conductor loop includes of a series of partial loops that extend parallel to one another.

The invention relates to a device for the inductive transmission of electrical power, comprising a power line which is situated on the primary side of said device and which consists of two wires which are guided in a parallel manner relative to each other. Power can be drawn from line by at least one mobile consumer, which is situated on the secondary side, by means of inductive coupling. Said device is provided with a data line which is situated on the primary side for the additional inductive transmission of data to and/or from the consumer. Said data line consists of two wires which are guided in a parallel manner relative to each other. Each of the data line wires is arranged adjacent to one of the two power line wires and in a manner that is symmetrical to a plane. The cross section of the conductor of the adjacent wire of the energy line is also symmetrical relative to the plane. The inductive coupling between the power line and the data line can be thus kept very low, and simultaneously enables the inductor, which is to be provided on the secondary side for the magnetic coupling with the data line, to be integrated into or mounted on the energy-transmitting consumer. The data line can be fixed to the power line or both lines can be integrated therewith in a common cable.
