An exhaust-gas turbocharger () having a compressor () which has a compressor housing (); having a turbine () which has a turbine housing (); and having a charge-pressure regulating device (). The charge-pressure regulating device () has at least two flap arrangements () and two bypass duct openings () assigned to the flap arrangements ().

Exhaust-gas turbocharger

A turbocharger includes a plurality of blades (') which are arranged in a turbine casing (). Each blade has the following: a profile underside (&#x2032;) and a profile top side (&#x2032;) which determine the blade thickness, a blade leading edge (&#x2032;) at a first intersection of the blade underside (&#x2032;) and the blade top side (&#x2032;), a blade trailing edge (&#x2032;) at a second intersection of the blade underside (&#x2032;) and the blade top side (&#x2032;), a profile center line (&#x2032;) which is defined by the blade underside (&#x2032;) and the blade top side (&#x2032;) and runs between them from the blade leading edge (&#x2032;) to the blade trailing edge (&#x2032;), and in which the profile center line (&#x2032;) runs in a wave-like manner.

Turbocharger

A pre-whirl generating apparatus () is provided that employs deformable air deflecting vanes () adjacent the inlet () of a radial air compressor (-), which vanes () can be mechanically deformed to generate positive, neutral, or negative pre-whirl flow to the compressor. A minimum number of parts are used to position one or more thin, deformable vanes () in the intake channel () leading to the compressor inlet (). In their undeformed position, the vanes () do not deflect the incoming air, thereby causing little or no flow restriction. To achieve the desired positive or negative pre-whirl of flow to the compressor (-), the trailing edge () of the vanes () are deflected transverse to the direction of flow in the channel () in either the positive or negative direction.
