A rolling bearing assembly includes an inner ring supported by a shaft or formed by a surface of the shaft, an outer ring supported in a housing or formed by a surface of the housing, a plurality of rolling elements disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, and at least one distance sensor configured to measure a distance between the shaft and the housing in order to detect wear of the rolling bearing.

A rolling-element bearing includes a first bearing ring, a second bearing ring, and a seal unit formed in a multiple-piece manner, the seal unit including an at least part-ring shaped main element which is freely rotatable with respect to the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring and at least one seal lip. In addition, the main element and the seal lip are exchangeably connectable to each other.

A bearing having grease lubrication includes a first ring and a second ring. A plurality of screw holes axially extend through the first ring. A first axial end of the first ring is affixed to a housing by a plurality of screws extending from the housing into the respective screw holes. A first bore is defined in the first ring adjacent to a second axial end of the first ring. The first bore intersects and fluidly communicates with one of the screw holes such that grease is dischargeable therethrough.

A bearing device for a solar power plant unit includes at least one support element, at least one first roller and at least one second roller. At least one first roller bearing unit is movably supported on the support element and rotatably supports the at least one first roller and the one second roller. At least one first spherical plain bearing having an outer ring is attached to the at least one first roller. A solar power plant includes at least one mirror movably supported by at least one such bearing device.

A clamping device includes a base body defining at least a portion of at least one pressure chamber, which has at least one opening oriented in a direction of action. A membrane is connected with the base body in a pressure-tight manner and seals the at least one opening in the direction of action. The membrane defines a first side wall section of the pressure chamber. A movable second side wall section partially delimits the pressure chamber and a constant amount of pressure fluid is sealed in the pressure chamber. At least one mechanical actuator displaces or deforms the second side wall section in order to cause the membrane to outwardly bulge.

Hydromechanical clamping device

A labyrinth seal includes a first labyrinth ring and a second labyrinth ring. In an installed state of the labyrinth seal, the first labyrinth ring and the second labyrinth ring engage in each other in an at least partially overlapping manner and are rotatable relative to each other. Furthermore, in the installed state, mutually-opposing surfaces of the first and of the second labyrinth ring have different wear resistances.

A method is disclosed in which a pressurized fluid presses an axial abutment surface against a first machine element in the axial direction to thereby fix the axial position of the first machine element and/or to thereby set a desired axial pre-loading of the first machine element. The fluid is then solidified to permanently maintain the axial position and/or the axial pre-loading of the first machine element. A clamp is disclosed that permanently affixes the first machine element relative to a second machine element using this method. An apparatus comprising the first machine element axially fixed relative to the second machine element by the clamp is also disclosed.
