The present invention relates to the perforation of nonwovens with a perforating roll and an opposing roll. The perforating roll and opposing roll form a gap, through which a nonwoven being perforated, is guided and perforated. The perforation apparatus comprises a feed device and a withdrawal device. The feed device is arranged such that the nonwoven being perforated advances first onto the opposing roll, before it enters the gap. The withdrawal device is arranged such that after leaving the gap, the perforated nonwoven remains on the perforating roll. Furthermore, a perforation method and a corresponding nonwoven structure are provided.

Method for perforating nonwoven fabric

The present invention relates to a perforated thermoplastic structure comprising at least a first layer () and a plurality of perforations, which extend through the first layer (). The perforations have a three-dimensional, preferably approximately conical or cylindrical shape (). A second layer forms an inner surface () of the shape (), whereas the first layer forms an outer surface () of the shape (). The first layer contains a thermoplastic material, whose melting point is lower than a melting point of the thermoplastic material of the second layer.

Perforated laminate

The present invention relates to perforation device for the manufacture of a perforated nonwoven material, whereby a prebonded nonwoven with embossing points is guided to a nonwoven perforation device, needles of a needle roller engage into the prebonded nonwoven and perforate it, and the perforated nonwoven material then undergoes further processing. A ratio is set between the number of needles to the number of embossed points of between 0.15 and 0.25 and a ratio of hole size to embossed point size of between 0.15 and 0.25.

Perforation device
