A method is provided for increasing the operational safety of at least one thermally stressed functional part of at least one vehicle brake, in particular of a commercial vehicle and/or a trailer, and/or for reducing brake wear and/or drive power, wherein the method has the following steps: inputting a temperature signal of the at least one brake, which temperature signal represents at least one temperature of the brake and/or of a functional part of the brake detected by at least one sensor, and inputting a brake request signal and/or brake pressure signal for the at least one brake; determining a thermal error condition by using the temperature signal and the brake requirement signal and/or brake pressure signal; and providing an adapted brake requirement signal and/or adapted brake pressure signal using the determined thermal error condition in order to increase the operational safety of the at least one functional part of the at least one vehicle brake exposed to thermal stress, and/or to reduce the brake wear and/or the drive power.

Method for increasing the operational safety of functional parts of a vehicle brake exposed to thermal stress

In a method for avoiding an overheating of a brake of a vehicle, in particular of a commercial vehicle and/or a trailer, a first temperature signal and at least a second temperature signal are read in, with the first temperature signal representing a temperature of the brake and/or of a functional part of the brake, and the at least second temperature signal representing at least one additional temperature of at least one additional brake of the vehicle. An error state of the brake is detected using the first temperature signal and the second temperature signal in order to avoid an overheating of the brake. A control device for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

A method is provided for controlling an output torque of an automated transmission coupled to an internal combustion engine and having a transmission controller. The internal combustion engine includes an exhaust gas turbocharger and an injection air device for injecting air into an intake line. The method receives a torque requirement by the transmission controller, generates an injection air signal by the transmission controller based on the torque requirement and current operating parameters of the internal combustion engine and the automated transmission, and controls the output torque by activating the injection air device based on the injection air signal for injecting air into the intake line of the internal combustion engine for a duration to be determined. A corresponding device is provided for carrying out the method.

The invention relates to a method for supplying a compressor in an internal combustion engine with compressed air. The method has the following steps: determination of operating parameters of the internal combustion engine to identify operating states of the internal combustion engine; production of compressed air by the internal combustion engine using the determined operating parameter in an operating state without combustion and backing up of the compressed air using a throttle; and removal of the produced compressed air to supply the compressor. The invention also relates to a corresponding device.

The invention relates to a method for producing compressed air and for injecting the same in an internal combustion engine, in particular a diesel motor, comprising an exhaust turbocharger. The method has the following steps: determination of operating parameters of the internal combustion engine to identify operating states of the internal combustion engine; production of compressed air by the internal combustion engine using the determined operating parameter in an operating state without combustion and storage of the produced compressed air; and injection of the stored compressed air into the combustion engine using the determined operating parameter in an operating state with combustion of the internal combustion engine in order to increase the pressure in an induction cycle. The invention also relates to a corresponding device.

Method and device for generating compressed air and for blowing it into an internal combustion engine

A compressed-air system for supplying a compress-air injection module of a turbocharged internal combustion engine and the pneumatic systems of the vehicle comprises a compressor is provided. The compressor is connected via a line to a pressure accumulator for the supply of a compressed-air injection module and to a device for compressed-air preparation having an air dryer and a pressure regulator for supplying pressure circuits for compressed-air-actuated consumers. The line for supplying the compressed-air injection module branches off upstream of the device for compressed-air preparation.
