The present invention relates to an electrical apparatus having an insulating space which contains a dielectric insulation fluid comprising an organofluorine compound. At least one solid component of the apparatus that is directly exposed to the insulation fluid contains a basic body made of a first material and a protective layer made of a second material different from the first material, the protective layer being directly or indirectly applied on the basic body and having a thickness of at least 50 &#x3bc;m. The organofluorine compound is selected from the group consisting of: fluoroethers, fluoroketones, fluoroolefins, fluoronitriles, and mixtures thereof, and the first material comprises or consists of a material selected from the group consisting of: a polymeric material, a ceramic, a composite material, and mixtures or combinations thereof.

Apparatus for the generation, distribution and/or usage of electrical energy and component for such an apparatus

An apparatus for the generation, the distribution or the usage of electrical energy, the apparatus including a housing enclosing an insulating space and an electrical component arranged in the insulating space. The insulating space contains a dielectric insulation gas including an organofluorine compound A. The apparatus further includes a molecular sieve arranged such as to come into contact with the insulation gas. The molecular sieve has an average pore size y greater than the molecular size of at least one decomposition product of the organofluorine compound A generated during operation of the apparatus. The adsorption capability of the molecular sieve for organofluorine compound A is lower than for the at least one decomposition product. The apparatus further includes at least one desiccant arranged such as to come into contact with the insulation gas.

A circuit breaker including an ejection device with a compartment, in which an arc-extinction medium for improving circuit breaker operation is contained, and having an ejection orifice through which the arc-extinction medium is to be ejected, wherein the ejection orifice opens out into an injection zone of the circuit breaker in which the pressure is lower than in an arcing zone when an arc is present, and wherein the arc-extinction medium and/or exhaust-cooling medium is at least partially present in liquid form, when it is contained in the ejection device.

Circuit breaker with fluid injection

A gas-insulated high-voltage switch for the interruption of large currents includes a housing, a contact arrangement which is arranged in the housing and has two switching pieces which can be moved relative to one another along an axis. Each switching piece has a rated current contact and an arcing contact. The switch includes a drive which acts on a first of the two switching pieces. The switch includes a device configured to detect and indicate the contact wear of the two arcing contacts caused by the action of the arc. The device has an indicator arranged outside the housing. In the switch, the remaining life which is determined by the contact wear of the arcing contacts is detected and indicated by a simple mechanical mechanism. The device has a transmission mechanism which is fed through the housing in a gas-tight manner and a drive member coupled to the operating element.

Gas-insulated high-voltage switch for interruption of large currents

A circuit breaker is provided which can be filled with a quenching gas and which has two contact arrangements, which can be moved relative to one another and along a longitudinal axis of the circuit breaker. The contact arrangements form a arcing contact system and a rated current contact system connected electrically in parallel with it. One of the contact arrangements includes inner rated current contacts and outer rated current contacts of the rated current contact system, where the inner rated current contacts overhang the outer rated current contacts in the direction of the longitudinal axis, and the outer rated current contacts coaxially surround the inner rated current contacts. The circuit breaker has a high current carrying capability as well as a reliable switching-on and -off behavior, such as during and after the occurrence of a short-circuit current in the circuit breaker.

A simplified construction of a gas-insulated high-power circuit breaker with a saving of components is achieved by at least one hole and at least one leaf spring, which is fastened on one side and is elastically bendable in dependence upon the pressure of the insulating gas in the compression volume, being formed in a valve plate of the valve. The bendable spring closes off the hole when the circuit breaker closes and opens it when the circuit breaker opens as soon as the pressure of the compressed insulating gas in the compression volume exceeds the value of the gas pressure in the low-pressure chamber by at least two bar.

Gas-insulated high-voltage power circuit breaker

A high-voltage switch includes a contact arrangement having two arcing contacts, one of which is supported displaceably against the action of a pretensioned spring. When the contact arrangement is closed, the free ends of the two arcing contacts are supported on one another. When the contact arrangement is opened, the two arcing contacts separate and during this process an arcing zone, accommodating compressed arc gas, is produced which is limited axially by free ends of the two arcing contacts and radially by an insulating nozzle toward the outside. To prevent the displaceably supported arcing contact from returning against the action of the pretensioned spring when a large short-circuit current is interrupted, the switch includes a piston/cylinder system functioning as a restoring device, which communicates with the arcing zone and which, with increasing pressure of the compressed arc gas produced in the arcing zone, generates a restoring force supporting the repelling force of the pretensioned spring.
