A radial compressor has an iris diaphragm mechanism for a pressure-charging device of an internal combustion engine. The radial compressor has a bearing assembly, in which a rotor shaft is rotatably mounted, having a compressor impeller arranged in a compressor housing for conjoint rotation on the rotor shaft and having a fresh air supply channel for carrying a fresh air mass flow to the compressor impeller. The iris diaphragm mechanism is upstream of the compressor impeller, allowing variable adjustment of a flow cross section for the fresh air mass flow for admission to the compressor impeller, at least over a partial region. The iris diaphragm mechanism has a plurality of blades, each having at least one first and one second blade section, wherein an offset is formed between the first blade section and the second blade section of the respective blade.

A compressor for a supercharging device of an internal combustion engine and a supercharging device are described. The compressor has an iris diaphragm mechanism that has a special drive. The drive includes an adjusting ring as an integral constituent part of an actuator of the drive and is formed as a rotor, which surrounds an air supply channel, of an electric motor. This results in a significantly simplified structural form of the drive.

A turbine housing for a turbocharger of an internal combustion engine includes an annular duct for conducting an exhaust-gas mass flow to a turbine wheel to be disposed in the turbine housing and an exhaust-gas discharge duct for discharging the exhaust-gas mass flow from the turbine housing after impinging on the turbine wheel. An insulating element is respectively disposed in a region of an inner wall of the annular duct and in a region of an inner wall of the exhaust-gas discharge duct. A compressor is disclosed for a charging device of an internal combustion engine. An iris diaphragm mechanism is arranged upstream of the compressor wheel. An actuator is mechanically coupled to an adjusting ring of the iris diaphragm mechanism for transmitting torque of an actuator shaft to the adjusting ring for rotating the adjusting ring. A pivotable coupling pin is arranged eccentrically on the actuator shaft and has a bearing bush which is displaceable along a longitudinal axis of the coupling pin. The bearing bush is mounted between two fingers of an adjusting lever of the adjusting ring so as to be displaceable along the fingers. An outer contact surface of the bearing bush is spherical. Inner contact surfaces of the two fingers are cylindrical to correspond to the spherical outer contact surface of the bearing bush and are in sliding contact with the outer contact surface of the bearing bush.

During an adjustment of the wastegate flap, the output shaft of the wastegate actuator interacts with a wastegate spindle which has a central axis. The output shaft of the wastegate actuator is thermally decoupled from the wastegate spindle.
