The invention relates to a method, performed by a control device, for driving at least one power consumer connected to a powertrain of a vehicle. The at least one propulsion unit comprises a first electrical machine and a second electrical machine, wherein the first electrical machine is connected to a first main shaft and the second electrical machine is connected to a second main shaft. A connection shaft is connected to the first electrical machine; and the at least one power consumer comprises a first power consumer connected to the first main shaft and/or a second power consumer connected to the connection shaft. The method comprising: controlling the powertrain to provide uninterrupted propelling torque on the first main shaft and/or on the connection shaft during a stand still condition of the output shaft of the gearbox and/or during a transition from a stand still condition to a rotational condition of the output shaft of the gearbox, and/or during gear shifting from one gear to another gear in the gearbox. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising a powertrain, a computer program and a computer-readable medium.

The invention relates to a method for propelling a vehicle comprising a first power source being an internal combustion engine and a second power source comprising at least one electrical machine. The vehicle is configured to be selectively driven according to a first mode and a second mode, wherein said second mode is prioritized more in relation to fuel efficiency of said vehicle than said first mode. When a maximum power for propelling said vehicle is requested, power delivered by said first power source and said second power source is controlled such that the total power delivered by said first and said second power source exceeds the maximum deliverable power of said first power source. The total power delivered by said first and said second power source is allowed to exceed the maximum deliverable power of said first power source when said vehicle is driven according to said second mode.

A method is provided to control a hybrid powertrain to achieve a desired engine speed in a combustion engine, said powertrain comprising: a gearbox with input and output shafts with the combustion engine connected to the input shaft; a first planetary gear connected to the input shaft and a first main shaft; a second planetary gear connected to the first planetary gear and a second main shaft; first and second electrical machines respectfully connected to the first and second planetary gears; first gear pair connected with the first main shaft; and second gear pair connected with the second main shaft. The method comprises a) ensuring that two rotatable components in the first planetary gear are connected; b) ensuring that all rotatable components in the second planetary gear are disconnected; c) ensuring that a gear is engaged in the first gear pair, d) ensuring that the second gear pair is disconnected; e) controlling the second electrical machine so that a desired torque is achieved in the output shaft; f) controlling the combustion engine to a desired engine speed; and g) controlling the first electrical machine so that a desired total power consumption for the first and the second electrical machines is achieved.
