A flotation machine includes a wash water system that is connectable adjacent a tank to direct sprays of water into froth within a froth zone. Wash water panel assemblies of the system can be positioned adjacent the tank so that each of the wash water panel assemblies are moveable between an open position and a closed position. Each wash water panel assembly can include an outer panel body that at least partially defines a reservoir in which wash water is passable and a spray membrane positionable adjacent the outer panel body. The spray membrane can have a plurality of spray holes in fluid communication with the reservoir such that water is passable from the reservoir and through the spray membrane via the spray holes for spraying water into the froth in the froth zone.

Flotation machine apparatus and method of using the same

The disclosure relates to an adapter () for converting a naturally-aspirated flotation cell () to a forced-gas flotation cell without replacing the naturally-aspirated flotation cell reducer () with a specialized conversion reducer (). The adapter () is designed to be located below the naturally-aspirated flotation cell reducer () and at a location along the drive shaft. The adapter () comprises an outer static casing () having a forced gas inlet (); an inner rotating spanner () having at least one port () therein; sealing means () provided between the static casing () and the spanner (); and, a chamber () formed between the outer static casing () and the spanner (). Related methods and apparatus incorporating the adapter () are further disclosed.

Method for converting a naturally-aspirated flotation cell to a forced-gas flotation cell, and apparatus thereof

A seal for a centrifuge for preventing material from leaking out of an effluent portion into a drive portion where the seal is disposed between a basket carrier and a drive portion, and the basket carrier is disposed between the effluent portion and the drive portion. The seal can also be disposed on a stiffener, the stiffener disposed between the basket carrier and the drive portion. A sealing arrangement for a centrifuge including a contact seal and a labyrinth disc, for preventing liquid from leaking out of an effluent portion into a product discharge outlet and for preventing material from entering into the effluent portion through the product discharge outlet. Also provided is a centrifuge incorporating the seal and/or the sealing arrangement.

A scroll screen centrifugal separator includes a distributor that is configured to receive slurry received from a feed conduit. The distributor is configured to deflect the received slurry to a screen of the scroll screen centrifugal separator. In some embodiments, the distributor may include a distributor that has a flat surface encircled by a lip or having one or more lips positioned on the flat surface, an inclined surface, or a declined surface that faces the mouth of the feed conduit. In other embodiments, the distributor may include a plurality of dam members for defining passageways through which slurry is passable through the distributor prior to being ejected to a screen of the separator. In other embodiments, the distributor may include a distributor plate that has a plurality of radial arms attached thereto that are configured to direct slurry to the basket with a rotational velocity.
