A method to manage a vehicle is disclosed. The method may include obtaining vehicle inputs that may include an image captured by a vehicle camera. The method may further include estimating a time delay in teleoperation communication with the vehicle, and generating an augmented reality image based on the time delay and the vehicle inputs. The method may further include rendering the augmented reality image on a user interface to manage the vehicle.

Augmented reality for teleoperation

An electrified vehicle powered by a traction battery includes a coolant loop arranged to convey coolant through at least a radiator, a chiller, and the traction battery to transfer heat from the battery. The vehicle also includes a refrigerant loop in fluid communication with the chiller to selectively circulate refrigerant through the chiller to provide supplemental heat transfer from coolant conveyed through the chiller. The vehicle further includes a vision system having at least one camera with a field of view including a vicinity of the radiator and a controller programmed to detect a radiator coolant leak based on image data output from the vision system. The controller is also programmed to cause a bypass of the radiator within the coolant loop to stop conveyance of coolant through the radiator in response to detecting a coolant leak.

A vehicle electrical system for a vehicle includes a power source, two low-voltage buses, two power-distribution boxes each electrically connected to the power source and to one of the low-voltage buses and positioned to control electrical flow from the power source to that low-voltage bus, and two low-voltage batteries each electrically connected to one of the power-distribution boxes and arranged to supply electricity to one of the low-voltage buses via that power-distribution box. Each power-distribution box is programmed to perform a test on its low-voltage battery, the tests being isolated from the other low-voltage battery.

A system includes at least one load in a vehicle, a battery electrically connected to the load, a power source electrically connected to the load, and a computer communicatively connected to the power source. The computer is programmed to reduce a voltage supplied by the power source to the load so that the battery discharges to supply power to the load, and then, in response to an electrical quantity of the system being outside an electrical-quantity range while the battery is discharging, perform a minimal risk condition or prevent the vehicle from movably operating.

Systems and methods are provided herein for managing scooter fleets based on geolocation boundaries. In certain embodiments, individual scooters of the scooter fleet may be associated with geographical areas in which they are allowed to operate, and such areas may be defined by a geolocation boundary. The geographical areas may be provided to prevent scooters from being used and subsequently left in an undesirable location (for example, at an airport terminal or an area where crime is commonplace).

A vehicle power management system includes a primary power bus for powering a first non-critical load, a secondary power bus for powering a second non-critical load, and a first relay electrically connected between the primary power bus and the first non-critical load. The first inductor is electrically connected to the secondary power bus and the second inductor is electrically connected to the primary power bus.

A hybrid vehicle control system and method include a controller programmed to, while a transmission is in PARK or NEUTRAL, start an engine, close a disconnect clutch selectively coupling the engine to an electric machine, and control the electric machine to charge a traction battery in response to the accelerator pedal position exceeding an idle position and being less than a threshold. The controller controls transmission impeller speed in response to accelerator pedal position exceeding the threshold to allow revving the engine in response to accelerator pedal. A method for controlling a hybrid vehicle includes starting an engine, closing a clutch between the engine and an electric machine, and controlling the engine and the electric machine to either: i) charge a traction battery or ii) rev the engine based on accelerator pedal position relative to a threshold above an idle position while the transmission is in PARK or NEUTRAL.

System and method for controlling a hybrid vehicle in park or neutral

An electrical system for a vehicle includes a DC/DC converter electrically connected to a high-voltage power source and a first bus, a second bus electrically connected to a second low-voltage power source, and an isolation circuit electrically connected to the first and second buses. The isolation circuit permits current flow in only one direction from the first bus to the second bus.

A driver coaching system may have an input device generating an input signal indicative of a road condition. The system may also include an advisory device determining an output conveyed to a driver and indicative of a fuel efficiency rating based on an actual vehicle speed and an optimum fuel efficient speed. The advisory device may not decrease the fuel efficiency rating when the road condition does not warrant the optimum fuel efficient speed.

A method of controlling a stop-start vehicle includes, in response to an engine being in an auto-stopped condition and a signal indicative of a driver exiting the vehicle, maintaining the engine in the auto-stopped condition. Smart driver presence strategy for police and commercial vehicles to increase auto-stop engine availability

Method and apparatus are disclosed for camera assisted vehicle lamp diagnosis via vehicle-to-vehicle communication. An example vehicle includes a forward-facing camera and a processor. The processor classifies a target vehicle based on images captured by the camera. Based on the classification, the processor determines locations of lamps on the target vehicle and determines when one of the lamps is not functioning properly. Additionally, when one of the lamps is not functioning properly, the processor sends, via a first communication module, a message to the target vehicle indicating of one of the lamps not functioning properly.

Camera assisted vehicle lamp diagnosis via vehicle-to-vehicle communication

A vehicle includes an engine, and a transmission including a torque converter having an impeller. The vehicle further includes an electric machine configured to provide drive torque to the impeller. The impeller is selectively coupled to the engine via a clutch. At least one vehicle controller is configured to, in response to the engine being OFF, the transmission being in DRIVE, a vehicle speed being zero and a brake pedal being released beyond a threshold position, command the electric machine to provide a torque to the impeller. The torque is a predetermined feedforward torque adjusted by a feedback torque that is based on a difference between measured and calculated speeds. The speeds may be the speeds of the electric machine.

Hybrid electric vehicle creep control

A vehicle includes an internal combustion engine having an auto stop function, an electric pump motor drivably coupled to a transmission pump and a heat exchanger pump, and at least one controller. The controller is configured to control the pump motor to operate the transmission pump to supply hydraulic pressure to a transmission, and to operate the heat exchanger pump to provide flow from the engine to a heater core radiator in response to the engine being auto stopped.
