A wearable apparatus includes an antenna affixed to a surface of the apparatus. A device is conductively coupled to the antenna. A control circuit is communicatively coupled to a sensor, the device and, a communications device. The antenna includes a composition that includes a polymer and carbonaceous material made up of individual graphene sheets that are present in the polymer in a 3D percolated network. A mobile device is communicatively coupled to a cellular RF source via a first wireless signal. The control circuit is configured to communicate with the mobile device via a third RF signal; communicate with the RF source via a second RF signal; and cause the mobile device to communicate with the RF source via the third RF signal when the second RF signal is greater than the first RF signal.

Wireless signal transmission using access point networks in wearable devices

A wearable apparatus includes an antenna affixed to a surface of the apparatus. A device is in electrical communication with the antenna. A control circuit is in electrical communication with the device and a communications device. A mobile device is communicatively coupled to a cellular RF source via a first wireless signal. The control circuit is configured to communicate, using the communications device, with the mobile device via a third RF signal; communicate, using the device, with the RF source via a second RF signal; and cause the mobile device to communicate with the RF source via the third RF signal when the second RF signal is greater than the first RF signal.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a symmetrical RFID antenna and method of formation. In one embodiment, the radio frequency identification antenna comprises a loop element having sides. A first and second conductive elements are in electrical communication with and extend opposite from a middle portion of a side. A third and fourth conductive elements are in electrical communication with and oppositely extend from a second side. A fifth conductive element extends from a vertex of the second conductive element to a vertex of the forth conductive element. The second and/or forth conductive elements comprise a quadrilateral portion. The second and/or forth conductive elements comprise a width that is at least about the length of a side included in the plurality of sides.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to graphene-based capacitive sensors. In one embodiment, a touch sensor comprises a non-porous insulating substrate having a first side and a second side. A first conductive material is at least partially in communication with the first side. A second conductive material is at least partially in communication with the first side. A third conductive material is at least partially in communication with the second side. The first conductive material and the second conductive material are in communication. The first conductive material forms a linearization pattern. The first conductive material includes a metal. The second conductive material and/or third conductive material comprise graphene sheets.
