Display device

A support structure for a display device includes a base member fixed to a rear surface of the display device, a support member which is fixed pivotably to the base member and supports the display device in a supporting position in an opened state where the display device is inclined at a predetermined angle and capable of being stored in a closed state, a holding member fixed to the base member including a regulation portion that regulates rotation of the support member beyond the supporting position, a pressure member that presses an end portion of the support member, and a compression coiled spring that urges the pressure member toward the support member. The pressure member includes a protruded portion having a triangular cross section, and inclined surfaces contacting with the support member while pressing the end portion when the support member rotates from the closed state to the opened state.

In a stand of liquid crystal display, a holding member may include a slider, a lower cover, a leaf spring that abuts against a side of the slider, a push-force adjusting member. The push-force adjusting member includes a push member, which has a tapered portion and pushes the leaf spring, and a screw member, which adjusts a height of the tapered portion of the push member relative to the leaf spring. The push-force adjusting member serves to adjust a push force of the leaf spring on the side of the slider. The lower cover has an adjustment hole, through which the screw member can be adjusted from outside. The slider may have a rectangular-shaped. The lower cover may have a first stopper, against which an upper end surface of the slider abuts, and a second stopper, against which a lower end surface of the slider abuts.

Box structure for TV-VCR combo

A cord settler capable of preventing a cord from being caught under a television set is obtained. In this cord settler, a hook body is formed on the back of a back cabinet of a television set a position of a prescribed height from the bottom of the back cabinet integrally with the back cabinet. The hook body has a substantially cylindrical shape. The cord is hung on the hook body to be prevented from suspending due to the aforementioned structure, whereby the cord can be effectively prevented from being caught under the television set. The hook body is so cylindrically formed that the mechanical strength of the hook body is remarkably improved as compared with that formed in another shape. Even if the cord hung on the hook body is pulled, therefore, the hook body can be prevented from being broken or bent.
